    US PGA Golf Championship

    Starts Next Week

For all those who like to back golfers early who may be backed in early in the week

Jason Dufner is still available at 50s in some books (uwin for one) and if he has another good final round he will not be bigger than 33s in most books imo. he is that short now in some.

Backed him at 51.0 already and more to follow....

Mickelson over Scott, Els over Cabrera win their head to head matchups
Mickelson to win, Els/Clark for longshots

You cannot win at Oak Hill unless you drive the ball in the fairway, so whichever players you back, it's probably a good thing to stay in that group of players in the top 25, or thereabouts, in driving accuracy.

Took Delaet as huge dog because he leads the tour in greens in regulation.

prob miss the cut...lol.. but worth a few bucks at those odds.

Yeah Dufner had 2 sensational final rounds of 67 in the U.S Open and British Open (I will always refuse to call this The Open) but you see that fairly frequently, a guy who is not near the lead in the final round tees off early with good windless conditions and a pressure-free mentality and beats the golf course up. Don't count on any 67's if he's near the lead in the final round. That being said, in the 50's not too bad a price for a tournament that can be won as easily by golf journeymen as it can by superstars.

Tiger sucks on par 70 courses... Guy eats par 5s for breakfast... He has to play very well this week to win... Quite possible he dominates, but could be a long week for him.

Furyk is the type of player who can stay in contention on this course. His style of play is perfect.

If Tiger takes chances, he's going to get burned.

Got to play this course like an old woman. Straight and short.

Have Kuchar at 30/1. This is the major that gets more random winners than any.

    Tiger, LOL.

Tiger's swing is perfect, but his mindset is flawed.

Former #1 David Duval's mind got flawed. Ol' Johnny Miller's too - he was all set to become the new Nicklaus during the 70s. They never recovered.

If Tiger wins another major, it will be an accident, like a Ray Floyd or even Nicklaus' final win. He has to give up the "domination" mindset first, it's killing him.

Really? Tiger is in the clubhouse in a tie for 58th place before Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Lefty, Luke Donald even teed off. Those odds should be 150/1.

    Rain eliminates Tiger.

Winner going to be double digit under par in the easy conditions, microscopic chance Tiger can average 66 the rest of the week, which is what it would take.

If it firmed up and played tough and the winner was only 5 under, tiger could claw back in, not now.

It's very difficult to win a major when even 1 of your rounds is an off-round. Yesterday was an off-round for Tiger. And Phil. And you don't measure it by strokes, but by how the "pack" is ahead of them. If Tiger (and we're assuming he can play his A-game for the balance of the tourney) spots 50+ players strokes, he's needing 50 players to either a) come back down to earth and/or b) not pull out a career best performance.

So after day 1 if Tiger is 6 off the pace, but say tied for 8th or something, he's alive. But when he's tied for 58th after Day 1? Forget it, not going to happen - he can't dial up a 61 just because he needs one.

They're also scoring today. This leaderboard will have freakish numbers on it (for a PGA) by lunch.

Cheers bud, obv counting no chickens and while i rarely hedge/lay such long odds esp if supposed "value" im tempted to lay the stakes here and go in on a few others at big odds..

Furyk isnt what he was and others up there arent exactly prolific even in good winning situations.

TBH if mcilroy or someone else around -3 shot a 66/67 and got to -7/6 it may be very hard to beat.

    Game over

Pretty crazy someone in players talk nailed Adam Scott in Masters and now Dufner in PGA.Both only mentioned 1 golfer so its not like listing 4 or 5 guys and hitting.
