Pretty cool moment, for a pretty worthy dude. He's the class that the Yankees are supposed to be known for. Most important Yankee since the Babe.

I didn't get that either, I'm assuming he is pitching 2 innings

    EDIT:

Leyland just guaranteeing he'll pitch, would of been nice though to see him in the 9th

Latin Americans will rage over this move by Leyland, its their league now as evidence by last nights hr derby and Pedro Gomez as the sideline reporter. Mariana better pitch the ninth.

pft take your chances, NL hasn't hit all night, these are "All Stars" after all, they should be able to maintain a 3 run lead for 1 inning

would have been epic to see Mo close it out

Should have pitched the 9th. The whole line about "wanting to make sure he pitched" is retarded. Start him if you want to do that boner.

    this isnt an opinion gueye

bud selig's legacy will forever be "tied" to the all star game based on something that was probably < 1% chance of happening

you think leyland wants that fukkin shit?

They should have fukkin waited for the 9th.....If the NL took the lead in the 8th, then bring him in during the inning, not that fukkin hard

and potentially throws 1 pitch after a total buzzkill

guaranteed leyland had him inked in for the 8th inning since he knew he was managing

mo addressed it in the interview....total non issue

It's really not a big deal.....But him pitching the 9th inning was well worth the gamble of him having to come in mid inning 8th worst case scenario
