Beat The Book or Be The Book?

just a quick thread to gage how many people prefer betting at a sportsbook or prefer to lay bets at an exchange?

I must admit my first experiences and subsequent first few years of betting were done at a sportsbook backing whatever I could to bag a profit. As you all know its not as easy it seems but boy oh boy doesnt it feel good to beat the book big?

Since I've grown older and wiser and am a bit (as a gambler, only a bit) more careful with my money/bets, I have found betting exchanges to be a godsend for picking up money by laying missplaced favorites or outsiders with no hope. I have yet (will happen one day) to be hit for a big loss whilst laying.

which is beter in your eyes?.. traditional sportsbook or betting exchanges? and reasons why?

it's good to BE the book sometimes imo and recommend everone to try out exchanges to pick up some easy cash!

I'm sure some people will use both to match bet to guarantee a profit but I have yet to master this and prefer to either back or lay my picks.

Exchanges are a way of life in Europe, a little in Asia and Aus ..small in Canada

    UK base mainly

USA players when they had accounts before laws changed were mainly scalpers/arbers

Exchanges of course bettor because of the better odds

I booked years ago. Had around 20 bettors. You think being betting a few games is stressful, try having bookoo money on the entire card every week.

    Not worth the stress.

Here is the best way to book and you cannot lose

    -110 lines foots , hoops

    20 cent lines bases

    $100 max bets on straights

$100 on parlays and teasers and set your max exposure to $1000

Aside from the limits, this seems to be the exact model of Bookmaker. They're not poor.
