    ATTN: Kobe Haters. Would Popovich ever back 5 feet off Bryant and Dare him to Shoot?

    You guys say, "oh Lebron is a better shooter" because he shoots 50%. Lebron is a more efficient player. Would Pop ever dare Bryant to shoot the basketball? Never. How many times has Bryant buried the Spurs with late game heroics, even in the playoffs? Thanks.

    Lebron is a more efficient shooter...he has shot over 50 percent 4 times in his career...compared to Kobe who has yet to do it once....However, Lebron never had a jump shot that was as consistent as other shooters in the league over the years...he has had to work at what he has now and even now..he is no where the best of the best in the NBA when it comes to a jump shot....I do agree that Popovich would never back off Kobe though, especially in the 4th quarter...where he is usually money.......however that is in regular season...Kobe is nothing in the playoffs...

    Yes, Pops would. If you look at the stats (you can find them), you'll notice the Spurs were at the bottom of the league guarding mid-range shots.

    So to answer your question: Yes, Pops would leave Kobe open based on what he did all season. Which failed in the long-run.

    LeBron has been way better than Kobe for years. It shouldn't be an argument or a question. This is just one example out of many that shows that Kobe is overrated and overloved by fans.

    No disagreement here.....I have been saying this for years...Lebron does not have Jordan's jumpshot...nor Kobe's.......he has had to work just to have the jump shot he has now...which is why coaches will give him space...Not sure about others, but I have never compared his J-shot to Jordan and Kobe's....he never had that in his game...but it is coming along a bit better now...

    Thank God lebron did not have a jordanesque type jump shot or it would be video game type numbers he'd be putting up...it would not be fair for the rest of the league...because Lebron understands the game better than anyone..he has mastered the art of knowing when to shoot, when to pass....how to play within the framework of an offense.........and that is why he is currently better than Kobe...he is a "GAME scorer....depending what is happening in the game, Lebron will adjust his skill set to suit the situation.....Kobe cannot and has not learned this in 17 years of basketball in the NBA....this is why Phil has criticized him...it is the reason why Lebron has surpassed Kobe...Kobe is not the greatest Laker there ever was....that title belongs to Magic...Kobe is the greatest Volume Scorer...but he is not a complete player....it is not part of his game.....

    Take Kobe Bryant and put him on the 2004 Cavaliers...and see what would happen..see how long he would last...Could he take them to a finals? He lasted 5 games with Mike Brown in 2012...and then had him fired....Lebron played with Mike Brown for 5 years before he finally gave him the boot....

    Take Kobe and put him on the 84 bulls...and see how well he would do...how effective a player he would be...would he make his players better....the answer is NO....and overwhelmingly so. He would break the record for most shots...and score quite a lot but it would all come at the expense of the TEAM....Kobe could not effectively lead a team of average skilled players for a number of years...and stick it out...he is INCAPABLE OF doing that...That's why Phil said he is NO LEADER..

    Jordan and Lebron got their Pippen later on in their careers...Kobe had his pippen early...and it spoiled him....Because after winning 3 rings...with Shaq, he then had to do it on his own....Kobe cheated on his wife and demanded a trade 3 years after Shaq left, missing playoffs once, and getting bounced out of the first round twice....HE RECEIVED NO BLAME what so ever.....Lebron would have been CRUCIFIED for that...and was crucified for his playoff failures in Cleveland and he did that for 8 YEARS!!! Kobe was whining and complaining his way out of LA after 3 YEARS!!! of not having his Pippen (Shaq)....that's not a leader....Take a young Lebron James....and stick him on on the 2000 Lakers....and thats a WRAP!!! 5 RINGS IN A ROW...Imagine a player who passes first before shooting playing in the triangle being coached by Phil Jackson....with Shaq....imagine what Lebron could have done with a team like that?PHIL JACKSON WANTED TO TRADE KOBE FOR SHAWN MERION AND JASON KIDD....NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD TRADE LEBRON JAMES...NOBODY......so how on earth can anyone believe for a single moment that Lebron is not better than Kobe? He is clearly the superior player.....and he does not EVEN HAVE A GOOD JUMP SHOT...and yet he still trumps Kobe in points...and field goal percentage...what does that tell you?
