    Definitely agree with Aussie here, they have a shot. This STL team is a beast however, i'd really like to see how these divisional matchups play out, I definitely don't think Pittsburg is going to choke the rest of their season away. Their starting pitching is too good, and A.J Burnett has been great again, throw in Locke, their new rook Gerrit Cole, great bullpen. If the Pirates don't make it this year, I'm lead to believe they won't make it for years to come.

    best news for the pirates is that 6 of the 7 series before the all star break they have left are teams under 500, only one that isnt is an interleague battle with the a's.
