Do the Anaheim Angels have any tricks up their sleeve????

What plans if any do the Angels have on turning this season around?

Okay so Jared Weaver will return soon giving them a solid top 3 starters in Weaver, Vargas, and Wilson....

but how long are they going go trott Blanton out there and let him get his ripped?

Do they have any stud pitchers in the farm system they plan to bring up?

I know Josh Hamilton will get "right" its only a matter of time.

Do you guys think they are buyers at the trade deadline???

What are the chances of them trading for Giancarlo Stanton or Joe Mauer?

They could use another slugger in the outfield and catcher has been the weak link in the batting order ever since they let Mike Napoli slip away. Joe Mauer would fit in nice in this line-up.

blanton project is probably over soon as weaver comes back.

i have no clue why the angels and the dodgers took a chance on this scrub.

Sell what? They have an out of commission yacht(Pujols), and a GulfStream Jet without wings(Hamilton). Two things only 1% of the population can afford, and 0% are interested in owning unless they are paid to take them.

Allowing Santana to walk, and trading Jean Segura has set back this franchise back @ least five years.

There shoulld be a running joke, no pun intended, with an attached GIF of Pujols making his way around the bases. Turning triples into singles.

For 300 mil it ain't good either, good luck paying that for next 8 yrs w his broken down ass. Hamilton closer to getting back on the pipe than out of his slump. Pen weak. I'm gonna assume if they had anything worth a damn in the minors they would already be up.. U pay broken down shitbags u gonna be shit.

i think any time you change teams and get a big contract there is an adjustment period.. Pujols had a great second half last year. I dont think Hamilton forgot how to hit i just think he is pressing too hard.

But the Angels offense is not really the problem, they just need consistency out of their starting pitching so they can get on a nice roll and win 10 straight games... maybe win 25 out of their next 30 and they will be aight.

Don't look now but the Angels have won 2 straight games and scored a combined 18 runs in their last 2 games.

albert looks rough bro, i mean his numbers be ok for couple years but the tail end of that contract gonna haunt their dreams..far as Hamilton you can go back and almost put a season together now where he has sucked,, crack is a hell of a drug..

i guess you have a point. The Angels seem to be the organization where star players careers go to die.

I started this thread to see if there is any glimmer of hope for my Angels futures bet.

I put down $150 on 40-1 odds. Pays out
6K ... i figured its good value bc if they make the playoffs they will be dangerous and they would have a lot of momentum going into the playoffs since they will need to get really hot to make up that much ground.

dont mind me too much, i am after all a admitted angels hater..not sure why, was actually glad when albert took their money and turned down cards "disrespectful" 5 yr deal..i mean personally dont think much has changed from them being the 3rd best team in the div last yr, still think tex and oak are better but who knows..

Some of these GM's need to sit down and watch Moneyball! Lesson 1 you build around pitching, lesson 2 do not sign nametag players on the wrong side of 30 to huge long term deals based off past glory. There is a reason their previous team is letting them ride off into the sunset. Cause they already got the best out of them! Just a lazy way to build and put butts in the stands quickly till it blows up in ur face.

well they do not mind picking up big contracts.. so maybe teams will dump players in their laps to get rid of contracts.

a triple and a HR out of Hamilton tonight,
maybe this team is getting their confidence back.

The Angels and the Dodgers remind me of the early 2000s Yankees

It just doesn't work in baseball

Atleast the Yankees made the playoffs every year during their spend like drunken sailors era
