A bet was cancelled after the NBA game ended ... should I raise a complaint or not?

I don't know if I should raise a complaint or not and I don't want to go through much hassle ...

    1) I had a previous account with BetInternet.com which was closed on the 25th of December 2012. I don't know why they closed it and I did not bother to ask them, but I assume it was because I was travelling much between countries and they saw different IPs, that's my assumption.

    2) I opened a new account last night and made a deposit of £275.00 and placed £275.00 on the UNDER 181 on Memphis - San Antonio, the game ended with 179 points, 2 points away from this line.

    3) 2 hours after the end of the game, I made a withdrawal request of £525 (£275 plus £250 winnings), and about 2 hours later I received an email stating the following:

We noted that you opened an account last night.

The account you held with us previously was closed permanently as you were advised by way of an email on 25/12/2012.

We are therefore unable to open any new accounts for you or accept any bets from you at all so this new account has been permanently closed and your bet cancelled.

The deposit of £275.00 you made by ********** has been reversed and will be rejected back to the card. We have done that now. A rejected deposit can take between 5-10 days to be returned to *******

Please also note that any future bets you attempt to place will also not be accepted and/or rejected and your accounts are both permanently closed.

    Kind regards

I do admit I had a previous account, I do admit it was closed.
I do admit I managed to opened a 2nd account with the same name, date of birth and such, without altering data, but I also do confirm I was able to deposit and place a bet.

I don't want to make a long story out of it - so long story short - is there any room for complaint from my end or just leave it like that? Whatever you say I should do I would simply do it, I really have no clue how these things work .... I just want to mention it wasn't easy to watch the last part of the game, and I am not sure what this bookmaker would have done in case I lost the bet.....

    Any advice?

They don't want your action, they returned, or in the process of returning your deposit.
You can fight it, but you won't win.
Give it up is my advice

Alright, thanks for your answers guys.
Yes, they returned the deposit, you see UK bookmakers are solid ones unlike offshore ones.

I won't make any complaint and I would regard the situation as settled as is.
Thank you for your help in this forum.

    Thanks.

Thanks for sharing with the board. The action taken was fair. When a sportsbook has made clear it no longer wants your business, respect that and take your action elsewhere.

You put yourself in a " break even or lose" situation and you broke even.

    That simple.

Nice job with that, but they don't want your action and they will not except it, unless of course you lose.

No means no, but do feel good about being cut off.

It happened to me once and it was a crowning achievement in my book.

    Well done sir.

    You indeed have it together.

Except for excluding yourself from Pinny. They are the top of the mountain.

    3) 2 hours after the end of the game, I made a withdrawal request of £525 (£275 plus £250 winnings), and about 2 hours later I received an email stating the following:
You opened up a new account with a book (that closed your account previously) and bet your whole deposit on a single event and then request the full withdrawal right after the game? Do you normally request withdrawals on a daily basis as constantly going back and forth depositing and withdrawing is NOT normal when dealing with offshore books? If you self excluded yourself till October at other books, why are you gambling at all right now? You put yourself into a "No-win" situation and need to decide whether you want to gamble or not.

He is in Europe where most if not all books don't charge anything to withdraw to an ewallet like skrill.
Lots of euro guys do this because it's better to keep your balance in a wallet and send it to a book to bet.

I remember the days when we (U.S. residents) had Neteller. Things were so much easier back then.

    I disagree.
I self excluded myself from Bet365 and I managed to open once an account and deposit and placed a bet and it won, and they issued me a full payout!

I self excluded myself from some websites, I can't self exclude myself from all sites because it doesn't work that way.

You have to contact each website and request to be self-excluded, that's how it works!
