As I've been on SBR for about 2 years now I have matured into a much better gambler and poster. I began gambling as a fukin loser, thought I knew it all and knew every angle of sports... Then I thought there was a secret to sports betting and I stumbled upon SBR after Sportsbook.com stiffed me for 1k, my largest cash out at the time. I quickly found the recommended list and stumbled onto the sub forums (my first 1-2k posts were sub-forum), I learned quickly of jjgold and Players Talk and tried to fit in right away.
I was seen as a young, hot shot, and cocky poster and began getting buried from every which side. Did I warrant this? Sure, I thought I could become the next best poster in SBR. It took a while a while for me to figure it out, find out which poster(s) were full of sh*t and which guys were genuine nice guys with good angels on games. Hitting my 10,000th post was quite the accomplishment in forumville, I shouted out numerous guys and gave some thanks, I have received some solid advice along the way.
Gambling wise, I still don't have the best bankroll management but I have done a 180 from where I was, I used to fukin reload every 2 days ($100 reloads), then I put on a good chunk of money and began to build, learned about bonuses, good books, rewards programs.. etc. I owe a lot to SBR in becoming a better gambler. However, in the last few months this forum has taken a great hit - we have lost about 10 of the BEST posters in history and these were the guys that paved the way for myself. I understand this a business, but as I've pointed out before the administration (John, Lou, Justin, etc) used to interact with players, throw jabs or give advice.. it is all behind a random screen name..
This is truly sad because I feel with the point system and influx of posters, SBR is still the best forum out there, I've visited others but none have the interface and variety that SBR holds, it still has a monopoly on the amount of fukin degenerates. Do I think this forum can restore itself to the glory days? Probably not, could it improve? Absolutely.
With the loss of paco and others - the troll count has decreased. Trolls really disrupted some solid cappers, but also guys who didn't have a thick skin. It is a fukin forum, you gotta be able to post a pick and expect to get trolled if you miss. There are some under the radar cappers (vyomguy, and others) who have made their mark but if we continue with the solid handicapping and discussion we can rebuild this great empire.
Sweeper is the entertainment now, as much as he doesn't like it - he isn't a fukin shut-in.. He's the face of the forum, entertainment wise. We need others to assist in this.
What I remember most from the 'old days' (2 years ago) there were so many discussion threads/in-game threads.. people hopped on here to bullshit about games and what side they thought was 'sharp' or 'square', we can rebuild that, too.
Seaweed, I delegate you to the responsibility of pre-game/in-game discussion.
Everyone - let's stop bitc*ing about the BetIslands scandal, and move forward. I can say this easily, bc I lost nothing in the encounter, but if you don't like SBR take it to EoG or elsewhere (spankie & others).. If you're here to stay lets fukin be part of the solution, Chi-Archie reference.
I understand I'm one of the most notable posters on the board now and have earned one of these spots because of the greats that have left/been banned, but I will hold my end of the bargain.
Lakerboy - I like you pal, but stop the air bets.. you don't have to impress us. Post your fukkin plays and so be it.

I want to thank most of you guys for giving me some entertainment between games and providing insight on games.
I ask the moderators who still are here to stop hiding behind the dumbass handles, Contests and stuff, come out.. have the personality (Lou, John, etc)
Everyone knew SBR Lou could be a prick but he buried quite a few posters, we get it some guys are pissed at you - but lets not hide.. You used to tell posters don't let trolls get to you - follow your own advice.
