NBA: What Is The Most Sound Team As Of 5/9/13 In The Western Conference?

San Antonio is old and they are showing it. May not get past Golden State... and if they do... it will go 7 games. I can't see San Antonio having any value after this series.

Oklahoma City... the lost of Westbrook is clearly evident. Don't know if Durant can do it alone. They are missing a piece of the puzzle.

Golden State... highly energetic. I give them a lot of credit. Even if they get past San Antonio... I don't think they have the depth and maturity to win the Western Conference.

    Which leaves...

Memphis... a very silent, well rounded basketball team. Can go inside... can shoot outside. Gasol is focused. Never seen him like this before. I see huge value in Memphis at +260 to win the Western Conference. Even if San Antonio squeaks by Golden State..... Memphis +260 to me is a huge series value.

As in winning the NBA Title... looks like Miami... but Memphis is the only fundamentally sound team that could challenge Miami...

Agree. The thing they're missing however is a good HC. Time will tell if they can overcome this. I bet not. In fact, I don't have them beating OKC for this reason.

Might not be Oracle atmosphere-wise but Memphis play great at home...

I agree Krak. Coaching is a factor. I just hope the players help me out here.

I actually like this Memphis team. They're grinders. A throwback team. They're gritty as hell. I would love to see them play Miami. The mismatches on both sides of the ball would be insane.

Memphis is playing real good but spurs will take care of the warriors and will have home court advantage and beat memphis. OKC would have won the west if durant had his sidekick in westbrook. Spurs and heat in the championship.

San Antonio really isn't that strong... Pop is holding them together. Luckily pushing all the right buttons. G.S. is youthful, full of energy, and just have good match ups against San Antonio. Memphis reminds me of Detroit in 2004. They never really have a main scorer... they can spread the ball... high-low... Randolph is a beast... Gasol mid range... they play sound team defense.... something that G.S. doesn't know how to do. Memphis VS G.S. would be a total mismatch. I'd love to see this so my future would win easily. NBA won't let G.S. beat San Antonio. The NBA needs to see San Antonio/Memphis... otherwise ratings would reach an all time low.

I actually think ratings would be higher with a GS/Memphis series...two of the best home courts in the league but the series would be short. The revenue from a 6-7 game SA/Memphis series would mean more to the league than the ratings of a 4-5 game series. You already know Miami has a cakewalk in the East.

SA might of blown their chance last game though. This GS team plays worlds better when they are on cloud 9 and the only thing that may have shaken their confidence was falling down 3-1.

I got them at 7-1 before game 6 of the clippers series. I'm so in love with this play. I'm also on them for the championship at what, when combined, amounts to 30-1. THey will beat miami. just wait and see

Thanks Seto... Wish they would win 4 straight... ugh.

When I suggested a very "sound" team... I meant together. Not quiet. And Memphis... is way too quiet.

its not over but I put a huge bet on spurs to win it all and I believe that they will. they are very deep 1-5. Tony Parker is a machine
