Can we get some degen stories going? (good and bad)

They always are worth a good laugh. I'll start: After the NCAA Tourney I realized how pointless betting NBA is and the MLB is almost impossible to make a dent long term IMHO due to the juice you have to lay. For all intents and purposes I decrease my plays to mere peanuts just to make things interesting. I'm pretty much waiting for meaningful baseball and football to start (made a killing in football the past 2 years). Starting about 3 weeks ago I have virtually been betting peanuts as I feel no progress is made from NBA and MLB.

    So:

I get an email last Friday about some unclaimed free play that I didn't use (didn't know about it). I get $45 in free play on Friday night. I hit a quarter line live then parlay a two teamer with a major juice tennis play. I win that and I head into Saturday with a measly $100 in this book. Due to the Bulls making that amazing come back last week and a couple other good calls I go on a roll Saturday. By the time Saturday night hits I have turned my $45 free play into $1,000 in about 24 hours.

Sunday comes and I put in another three-teamer on soccer and tennis (don't ask me why I wager on these god awful sports). The first two hits and I need one goal in the second half of an EPL match to get up to $1500. Low and behold two of the most powerful soccer teams can't score a single goal in the second half. I figure shit happens and I'm still up around $1,000. The soccer match messes with my head and I start to talk myself out of plays and go small on the wrong ones. For some reason I get the idea in my head that I want to cash out at $2,000 and pledge to myself I will.

Long story short I go on tilt Sunday and Monday and blow through the $1000 I worked up from my free player 24 winning binge. In the end I didn't lose any money and have luckily held off from going into tilt with my actual money. The amounts were not major, I know that, I've won and lost thousands in person and online. But it was a funny story considering I went on such a streak on house money and then blew it all in about 2 nights of gambling. I'm kind of mad, but at the same time I didn't actually deposit so I come out where I was before I got the email.

You don't know what tilt is until you got your CC out at 2am to bet the harness races at Cal Expo. When you've lost a few duckets on those, you decide harness races are bullshit and fixed and start betting on the Aussie tracks that don't even get shown on TV or net. Low and Behold, the sun is coming up out your front window and youre trying to figure out which nag you've never heard of, that youre gonna put your $50 place bet on, and it better be a 10-1 shot or greater or what's the point. You're looking at your clock and know you need to sleep because the 1st post at Dover downs is in a couple hours. True story, Once turned a hundred bucks into 7 grand on an overnight horse playing bender. Never saw one of the races.

13 years ago I was at the local casino and went on a run in blackjack cashing out up about $1200. I was pretty happy with myself and rang my mate to brag on the drive home. He said come over so I stopped at the pub to grab a carton of beer and ended up wandering into the Pokie room (Slots) and started playing one of the expensive machines with a pocket full of cash, obviously not the greatest idea. So as you can guess I was churning through my dough $50 after $50. It took me less than an hour to burn the lot and before I had even run out of money the vultures were already circling, hanging around my machine and waiting to sieze it the moment I jumped off. What makes it worse is that in South Australia you can't even feed notes into the machine, it's all $1 coins, so I pumped 1200 odd $1 coins into the machine in less than an hour and then left to drown my sorrows (luckily I had already bought the beer)...

Had a great run in hockey this year, went from $100 to $1,800 in less than a month. Found a pick i knew wouldn't lose and put 1k on it and sure enough it lost. Then to get it back I put the rest of it on a 3-teamer that I really liked, would get me over 2k if I won. 2/3 cashed early and the last team lost a game they never should have. Turned $100 to $1,800 in a few weeks, lost $1,800 in two nights. Was pretty furious with myself on my BR management, lesson learned.
