If you are going to bet Floyd wait till the last minute. People love to bet against this guy. If you are going to bet Marquez I would grab it at +345. I have made a good deal of money betting with Floyd but I think this fight is alot closer then this line. Marquez is a very technical brawler, with great heart and was very suprised Floyd took the fight.

now i know marquez is a great counter puncher and will eat a shot to set you up....but i still cant get out of my mind how easily juan diaz was tagging marquez across the face...i wrestled with the idea that marquez was setting diaz up....but i cant fully accept that....and if diaz is able to get off like that...welllll

You haven't really watched boxing or followed his career have you? Another anti-Mayweather bandwagon jumper.

Watch his fights against Corley, Corrales, Augustus, Chavez. All toe to toe battles and slugfests when he was at his natural weight at 130/135.

And Hatton/Gatti at 147. He brawls against people that are of his equal physical attributes and fights defensively against guys who have a weight advantage (Baldomir/DLH).

But are you, or any Floyd hater, gonna listen? Of course not.

He's great at what he does...He outboxed Corrales, Corley, Judah, Baldomir and he destroyed a completely overmatched Gatti.

He won these through boxing, not brawling.

i like marquez to take this one, but if theres any sport where a fix can be in, its boxing. mayweather brings a lot of publicity to the sport. that said, i think marquez should take this fight. he will be down in points early, but look for a comeback. wouldnt be surprised by a late KO

ah well of course, brawling brings to mind something like Gatti/Ward. What I meant more specifically is that Floyd throws more punches because he knows the other guys don't have the power to get him with one shot like DLH potentially could.

True enough, it's all down to Marquez and how he handles both the weight and strategy and who will be the aggressor. Marquez struggling with Diaz's frenzied punching as many people are using as basis for predictions is definitely not a factor for this fight unless Floyd shocks us all and comes out slugging.

I couldn't agree more about it being a possible snooze fest. And seeing Mayweather win in typical fashion is very probable; however, I do believe that as an agressor, Marquez will only win this fight with a KO. Unless the fight is completely sided for Marquez, he won't stand a chance to win in points IMO. Marquez by KO is a small play for me, the value isn't there to take Mayweather at the current odds.
