    Royals +165 @ Braves

Taking KC tonight in Atlanta. Letdown spot for the Braves after sweeping the Nats. The Royals have some hitters that can flat out rake and I think they will get to Medlen tonight.

    Thoughts?

Maybe take 30 seconds and search the threads already out there on this before you create a new one.

I think they do. Maybe not superstar level hitters, but a bunch of above average guys.

    Don't like Royals in NL

    No butler weakens that lineup

Never said he wasn't. Why does a guy post a thread about the royals/braves game asking for "thoughts?" when there are 2 threads on the same topic on the first page of the forum?

Just takes a few seconds, yes a few seconds, to read all the thoughts already posted.

I did not see them rake much at home vs the Jays! So far they have looked good against Philly and Minny so I'm not buying all the garbage they are selling yet. Bravos just too hot right now and have seen Guthrie plenty from Rockies days. That and they are just too tough with Medlen pitching. Too high priced for me on Braves but I just cannot take the dog here either. GL

The value is there, the ml reflects the Braves winning streak, hot pitcher and at home, all the while somewhat ignoring that the Royals are off to a solid start as well. I say a fair ml on the royals should be closer to the +130 range which gives good value to the Royals.

After saying all that, one of my filters is in play eliminating this as a bet statistically. Emotionally, I really like the Braves here, but I certainly can't take the Braves at -178. I can't see anything wrong with you betting the Royals today if your indicators say you should. I looked at this game longer than the rest and will by watching it closely for future plays. If you got the funds, go for it, Good luck if you do

The only subforum I go to anymore is the nba one. You seem very bothered.

The types of bet where your taking it simply for value. Then after the games over and the hottest team beat your "value" bet you ponder what was I thinking.

But two days later...your at it again betting the value. Might as well paypal me your money.

you called me angry yesterday for a post similar to this.

    however, this is twizzle's MO:

he only checks PT and the NBA subforum though because he's a boss.

Ha! No I called you angry because you came into a thread of mine and called me a joke and a bit$$ for not posting plays here lately. I got no hate for you though.

And, yes, the OP offered nothing in this thread. If he had at least some data or insight that hadn't yet been shared than it would be understandable. Just a guy posing a play that he's not entirely confident in and asking for thoughts?

Maybe, wizzle, you should check the baseball sub forum instead of cluttering it offering nothing other than "here's a play I made"

I'm on the Mets FF in the early game. Went to the forum and Ratzz has already posted it so I just wished him luck. Maybe, by your logic, I should read nothing and just post all the plays I make here. That would make this place grand.

And I ain't mad, kiddo...I just live a Larry David life. No tolerance for lack of social graces.

Do you think the Miami Heat were on a let down spot after consecutive win #12? Guess what? They won 15 times in a row while being on a let down spot.

Heres the most basic way of putting it: Blackjack has about a .5% edge depending on whos playing. Someone sits down and wins $50,000, Is the Casino going to pull the game becuse they lost money that day? Should they just Paypal the money to the customer because someone claims the house edge is fictional?

No, the casino doesn't care because that super small edge gives them a nice profit by years end. No different in Sports betting. You find an edge, also known as value, you bet it. It might lose today, but if you continue to make the same bet on the same game, your tiny edge will net a profit by years end. This is the only way you can profit on sports betting. A sports bet is a bet like any other, just like betting in a casino. If you don't understand value in sports betting, then you are just another gambler looking for action, akin to someone going to a casino and looking to get lucky completely oblivious to the house edge.

Good post, I have only been betting plus money bets that I feel have value in baseball so far this year apart from just a few games, and despite the fact I am 24-27 on those picks for the season I am up 2.72 units overall. It's all about finding value, especially in plus money situations where there is no juice to grind you down

This is the major leagues. You can throw 100 + mph. If you don't have location, all mlb hitters can park it in the seats.
