Post up from the US is virtually dead anyway. Within 3 years it will be really dead.

The Pinnacle busts were pretty much the death nail to offshore. Go watch Bob Voulgaris' appearance at the Sloan Conference. It's extremely difficult for sharps to get bets down anymore. Once Bookmaker goes down, it's over.

Legends is not answering on live chat. I might have to withdraw my post up money if I don't hear anything from them by the end of the day

What Legends has stated publicly is that there is no reason for users to be concerned about their funds and history shows in most cases user balances and day to day operations are unaffected. What we know is that indictments relating to gaming where they accept business from US users or have done business within the US is not uncommon. But, players should do what they feel is in their best interest and safest for them.
thanks for the information. Plus Legends is not answering their live chat.

Legends will pay post up players, or at least I would hope so.

If you have a credit account with them and they owe you money you're screwed.

This is just like the pinnacle busts. Feds took out all the big money guys running the credit side.

I'm actually looking at closing both my accounts on sportsbook.ag and 5dimes and going local. How do you close your online accounts? Do you have to call them to get it closed or is there a way to do it online?

This hurts the casual bettor as well. One less option. These busts eliminate bonuses from the top books as now what they could give away to their customers must be kept in reserve.

Customer service has really suffered. 5dimes customer service is below average but what can you do..have to play there as they are the best option.

Heritage is a solid out but the first tier of customer service could or would not answer a straight forward question for two days. I had to close my account and seek the next level up to get the answer to a simple question. I should not have to bother a supervisor..his time is way to valuable. Without better customer service it is a no brainer to play only at 5dimes.

US govt greed knows no bounds. I just want to be able to put a couple hundred on a reputable site and have so wagering fun. I am down to 5dimes as my one out...wish I still had heritage but it is what it is.

Pinnacle is running just fine. Agents getting busted is just a US problem.

Voulgaris is Canadian so his options are more wide open.

Yes, he is Canadian, or at least has citizenship.
Aren't Americans still able to bet at a sportsbook at any casinos in the states?
Like if you live in Michigan you can still lay large wagers at the casinos in Detroit?
If you live in N.J. you can bet at any sportsbook in A.C.?
If you're in CONN you can bet whatever you want at Foxwoods, right?

i agree with the other poster about if offshore dies it would be awful for me

Vegas books (usually) terriblw odds in comparison to offshore books for my big money maker

wouldnt be a fun adjustment, but hey nothing we can do

legends was never a top pro book.

Only squares or credit players play there.

The big guys left legends several years back.

If you have money in legends, cash out and RUN.

I don't think you can bet single games there, though.
I think its always a parlay card like dark mentioned, in DEL.

Voulgaris lives in the US (although he has started to stop advertising it). He has spoken of only trusting a few places. Sharps like him aren't posting up offshore anyway, they are playing on credit. I'll pretty much guarantee most of his action goes to Grande now after the Pinnacle busts.

Pinnacle is fine but they certainly don't have the same volume as before. I'll be curious to see what their NFL and CFB limits will be.

The busts were in October iirc. They still had 70k limits for the NFL, 140k for the Super Bowl.

Some other sports/props were lowered though.

    God bless Canadian land

    Greek pinny matchbook for me

Who is this Spiro? Someone fill me in on this Greek situation, I like them -- one of the more "honest" books that's not pinny/an exchange.

Yes I am definitely more concerned about having much money in any sportsbook nowadays. To be honest I am questioning whether it is actually safer at one of the top tier books rather than say a B rated shop?
I think Uncle Sam is obviously on a mission and who do they target but the big boys. I say less chance of getting closed down if you are playing at a book that isn't so high profile. Don't get me wrong I love playing at Heritage and 5Dimes but I'm worried they could be next.

I'm also in the boat, if I can't do 5dimes I can't do online betting anymore. In Houston, so no doubt there are locals close by but I've never met or associated with one and feel more comfortable just sitting at home and taking care of my business. Plus I've made about 20 live bets the last week and I'd like to keep being able to do it.

If the US just wanted their cut then legalized internet gambling (besides lotteries and ponies) would be all over and they would collect from countries who have collected off Americans for years. It's just not that simple with all the moron politicians who have these so called "family values" or "religious beliefs" BUT if you throw them enough money to lobby a certain way they can overlook anything.

Only in the USA where we still run government like its 1910.

If Heritage goes I'm done with offshore. What's the other option for someone living in Ohio. Not interested in locals. Monthly trips to Vegas? Give up sports betting altogether? There is a casino 40 minutes from me if I want to play poker or roulette. MGM Detroit is 1 hr. 45 minutes. I guess those will be my only outs. Unless I quit my job and pick up and move to Las Vegas my sportsbetting career will be no more pretty much. Not that I was very successful anyways, but it's my entertainment and hobby. I'll have to find something else to fill the void. Oh well life goes on.
