How long before Tim Pernetti and the Rutgers president are in the soup line too?

Pernetti before the final four and the president before the end of the summer.

The final four, and the NBA playoffs are going to save Pernetti's job. With Rice gone, the heat will subside, and the national coversation will change into this weekends events.

The faculty that want them both gone are not going anywhere and they don't care about the final four or NBA playoffs.

Pernetti made Rutgers billions by getting them out of the Big East and into the Big 10. He's not going anywhere.

Pernetti is not going. They cut the fat with Rice already.

Those kids are soft and will never succeed on the next level. Coach was hoping they'd stand up for themselves.

The scarlet knights have accepted the invite now. Why have this come up again during media day?

Mr plow is spot on here,

He couldn't fire his coach as he was trying to move his team, bad financial decision...

ESPN not mentioning that, just look at the timing and the denial from the president.

An assistant coach fell on his sword today. 2 down, 2 to go.

Pernetti is a regular on the Artie Lange show. For that alone, he deserves a second chance.

I actually listen to the Dan Lebatard show pretty regularly.

The dude is funny, unlike his TV show.

hes lucky one of those players didnt knock his teeth out. schools/ncaa/networks are already treating student athletes like slaves...Funny how everyone involved is making millions, except the players...and before anyone brings up scholarships, an "american studies" degree is not an education, I would rather pay tuition and earn a useful degree...cant believe more people dont see whats really going on...

He used to have a show with comedian Nick Dipaolo, but I never saw them together. I just started recently listening, since they simulcast on DirecTV. It's not bad, although most of his guests are people I've never even heard of.

I've never heard the Dan Lebatard show. Does he broadcast nationally?

Yea, for whatever reason I caught the first week of him and Dipaolo, and it was pretty rough as are most first weeks on the radio.

Not their fault if the players don't go for a useful degree.

A useful degree usually requires more time and energy. So no part time job, no other 9-10 hours a day commitments that have nothing to do with the degree, and no money worries. Not possible with an eye on another prize.

Countless examples of that being false. Go study instead of partying. Not sayin they have to have a 3.5 or anything.

Also, where in the hell is the money going to come to pay these guys? I'm sure Tulane has the money to do it

No way could pernetti have been fired. He's white, he's made billions for rutgers, the final found and nba playoffs are coming up. Sbrforum wouldn't fire him.
