I have been thinking what fade to do or track as we all wait for Hondo in baseball.
Its quite obvious that Mr. Lang has completely changed his strategy to get faders off his back. He IS making all the picks; the thing is, he is NOT picking like before. I mean when you have a very public capper do a 360 and picks 90% dogs it should tell you something, that its time to move on. Lang was a great fade, chasing and playing public plays, simply not the case anymore.
I have doubts if this thread will net any profit so for the time being just tracking for shits and giggles. The site atsedge.com has daily free plays by most of lang's crew, aka benton, rivers, redd, davis etc and the new fake characters. The only plays that will be tracked are when favorites are picked by the "panel". I will flat fade each game they select as long as pick faves; dogs they pick will not be faded/counted.
The idea behind this is that when these fools do free picks, its not like they spend hours researching, its a quick daily newspaper scan, and a quick pick. Lets try this out see how it does for a week. Maybe theres something there maybe not. I know threads like this have tracked the freeplays I just wanna track faves faded.
So bottom line, staring March 6, 2013, I will track this site and see how the cappers do with their freebie plays picking faves. As states pointed out, lang is like 19-3 picking dogs, and 0-5 with faves. Maybe wise just to sit out and fade only faves from now on, just not happening that often.

Here are the plays today; if theres more I will add later:
All plays listed are fade plays, which is what we want to happen (dogs covering)
teams names changed just for some light humor.

NBA: Houston Olajuwons +2

apparently I have received an infraction because I cannot list a website. Sometimes I dont know why I even bother and not just completely move all discussion to rx.

obviously this didnt work out well; I have come up with a different approach.
here are the steps:
1) look at the website and write down their picks
2) go and see if their picks are joe public plays (for me its 52.50% or more)
3) If they coincide, FADE. If not, no play/action.

example of last night:
the goons had:
Northeastern -2 (66% consensus) fade JMU +2 WIN
Iona -4 (63% consensus) fade Manhattan +4 WIN
thunder +2 (61% consensus) fade Spurs -2 WIN
Nuggets -9 (60% consensus) fade Suns +9 LOSE

fade record 3-1 with this method.
I know, doesnt mean shit.
Lets try a few days see if theres anything here.
Remember, only fade plays that they+the public love)

florida A+M +7.5 is the fade play. 62% on UNC AT+T, and the goons have UNC as well.
They have more plays but all non-public dogs/faves.

I am just trying to see if there is a somewhat consistent fade, since lang fade is dead now...you'd have to be nuts to fade lang now...he's picking about 75% consensus dogs, meaning going against the public and thats not his style. No way you can make money fading him right now.

Another winning day, going 2-1 today, albeit barely on the baylor game +2.5

I dont get cappinpicks' issue(s). Oh well comes with the territory in pretty much any thread I guess.
This is a very simple strategy and fade process, and filters the plays down to the criteria above.
Most likely wont win much, but you never know until tracked.
A lot of posters, including myself, tracked these fake cappers before and it fizzles out at 50%.
But here I have added a key filter IMHO.

I've checked this thread out a few times....
Just wondering where your getting your public data from that you feel comfortable that over 52.5% is a "public" side.
Seems to me like that is an awfully low threshold given the discrepancies in betting consensus.

TTO, thats just my criteria; you can use any percentage I guess and track.
These joker cappers have 9 out of 10 consensus plays at 60% or higher anyways!
Its almost standard really.
I go to covers for the consensus info.
Please check new thread in service plays guys, hopefully thread will last a bit.
