    Ben McLemore Draft Stock

I have seen the kid play a couple times, good shooter, decent slasher.. lazy player.

After watching the KS/OK St. game he hid in the corner for 90% of the game, in crunch time he touched the ball and handed it to Thaarpe or Releford, he wanted nothing to do with it. I know he's a freshmen, probably about 19 years old but I don't care. He has no killer instinct.

OK. St put an athletic type NBA player (Brown/Smart) on him all game and hounded him, he was downright pathetic other than a tip slam and a drive where the defense fell asleep.

Never seen a possible #1 pick not want the ball in 2 OT's or end of 2 half like that.

This kid should not be a lottery pick.

Bump this in 3-4 years, we will see where we stand.

Eric Gordon is actually giving McLemore too much, I'd say Dion Waiters > McLemore.

I disagree with that. Waiters can go 8/14 or 2/18 from the field easily.. Guy is too small.

Gilcrist is a good NBA player but he was not 1st round caliber. Hes not the typeof guy that can turn a franchise around, hes just a good role player/defensive player and also an un-selfish teammate.Oladipo should be the #1 pick. That dude is a baller

The best player in College is Anthony Bennett, but if Ben doesn't go top 2 the team who passes will regret him.

This isn't one bad game... He's under sized, but athletic. Has a low basketball iq, too.

Watch the tape- he sat in the corner and quivered, he wanted no part of the basketball

I think you're being too harsh. Ill admit Ben had a bad game but he also had a very good defender on him. And he didn't 'not want the ball' he just struggled. I seem to remember him throwing up a 3-pt attempt two different times in overtime which is gutsy considering the tempo of that game. He has had much better games many other times this season, and he's still a top 5 pick IMO. I think oladipo, Bennett, Olynyk, Burke all go ahead of him though

Oh and I can't forget my boy MCW... If they have a decent tourney then MCW will be a very high draft pick - he's got the stats and he definitely has an NBA body

No way. Burke and Olnyk won't get the top 10.

He did not want the ball.. You obviously didn't watch game. They were setting double screens for him he came off them, would receive the ball and give it to inferior players immediately like Releford and Tharpe.

    Pathetic

Actually I watched the whole game... But you're right, it wasn't what you'd expect from a leader. But it certainly wasn't a deshaun Thomas-type disappearing act like he did in OT vs. UofM earlier. I'm just saying the kid couldn't penetrate successfully so he threw up two 3pointers (&missed) but the attempts say something if you consider the tempo of that OT & 2OT

Really weak draft class this year which means more borderline players will go pro because if they wait around they won't get drafted as high and won't be guaranteed as much money. If your going to a lottery pick this year you have to come out this year. Next years incoming freshman class has alot more NBA ready talent than the kids in college this year.

Hence, College bball will most likely stay like this for a few years. ugh..... makes betting on college ball really tough. Wish we could go back to last year.

durant is a lock for the hall of fame, thats a horrible analogy

and yes the #2 rated player in the nba draft deserves to be called a stud

When i did preview of Kansas/Kansas St, i said he was a catch & shoot guard nothing more [NBA has enough catch & shoot guys], i don't see the fuss at all.

McLemore continues to show his upside as a jump-shooter and elite athlete (case in point: his 30-point performance against Kansas State on Monday). When he's locked in and aggressive, he looks like he could be an NBA All-Star. But he also has given scouts reason to be concerned. At times he struggles to assert himself because of a lack of confidence in his ballhandling abilities. At this point, McLemore is the No. 1 player on our Big Board more by default than he is by virtue of having locked down the top spot. However, with the Charlotte Bobcats having the best odds of winning the draft lottery right now, and with McLemore being a great fit there, he earns the nod.

No Bobats don't need another fancy dan, they need a physical players inside.
