Howard will most likely resign with Lakers

If Howard had said he would not resign Lakers would have traded him already to get the max value for him. At this point if they were to try to trade for him they won't be able to get as much for him with the deadline only 2 days away. Howard probably told management he will likely resign with the Lakers. Would be shocked if Howard moves somewhere else in the summer.

The odds of him and Kobe both playing for the Lakers next season is 0.0001%.

no chance he gets traded. Lakers aren't stupid to give up on such a big talent like Howard. If Howard had said he wouldn't resign they would have traded him in already. Howard definitely stays and probably is a laker again next year and they will make a late push for a playoff spot, but I'm not sure if it will be enough.

i dont think it will be enough....i think and have always thought he was overrated....but resigned him makes sense.....when kobes time is up they will be able to repair him with another great scorer....and thats the name of the game....and thats why he wanted to go to LA...i called him going to LA two years earlier and had a bet with several friends about it

Its such a tough decision, you know his talent but you also know this guy is gonna give no effort. If you watch there games its like he doesnt even try hes such a little pansy.. idk if its because of Kobe or what but the guy needs to grow up and start playing.

Dwight also told the Magic about 10 different things, no way can you trust him.....Lakers should get what they can for him now......Most likely they are sitting there next season with no Howard and nothing in return

Steven A Smith has a lot of reliable sources and is close with Dwight and has said multiple times that Dwight will 100% not sign with the Lakers in Free Agency as long as Kobe is still there

Wow, 0.0001%??? I'll make you a deal. I'll be kind and take 10-1 odds that both Kobe & Howard are on the opening day roster next season. I'll put up 1,000 betpoints. We can send our points to a mod to hold.

Obviously..........considering in your opinion there is a 0.0001% chance of this happening..........it's pretty much a gift from me to you. Thank me later.

Deal? Or...........were you just flapping them gums?

Stupid to not trade him away.

Worst possible scenario for the Lakers is to have Howard unsigned after the trade deadline.

2nd Worst, is signing Howard. What is it, 100+ Million in 1 years luxury tax + Howard salary, just to keep the current team next year?

You know who wants this? The rest of the league.

Get rid of him, blow it up.

I hope he re-signs for max $ and max years, so the Lakeshow is saddled with the most over-rated, underperforming jackass in the league.BTW, MW is on the books and untradable for how much/how many more years?

Stern really screwed them with the CP3 trade.

there is 0.000 chance that Howard remains with Kobe/Lakers..

Howard can't stand him personally, he won't even answer questions about
    Kobe, playing time, role... anything..

his standard response is: "i don't want to talk about it"

when asked specifics about any of the above mentioned topics..

hell, after the ASG, Kobe said he had no preference on wether or not Howard
    was traded or remained

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...-dwight-howard

“I don't know what they're going to do. At this point, it doesn't matter.”
those two HATE each other. NO WAY that continues a second longer that it will need to.

there was a report that Howard put on a 24 Laker jersey and openly mocked his behavior in
the lockeroom in front of may players

Paul will be staying in LA.. (the right LA)
    http://www.isportstimes.com/articles...ed-staying.htm

Paul has openly stated that he was delighted that the trade to the Lakers fell through,
he did not want to lay with Kobe.

Kobe is not a teammate, he is your boss. Nobody wants to play alongside a guy barking at you telling you your job.

If CP3 were in a Laker uniform:*
he would be having the same beef that Howard is with him.

If Howard goes over to the Clippers:
    it will be smooth sailing.

on the Clippers he is the Captain...

on the Lakers he is a corporal,
    taking orders and following protocol.

who in their right mind. would choose the latter?

the reality is Kobe isn't going anywhere and he still has a 3-4 years ahead of him. I think when he realizes he cant average 22-23 points a night he will hang it up. With that in mind Howard knows if he signs in LA he will have to get along with Kobe. I think they work out their differences in the offseason and they dump Gasol in the summer and get younger through the draft and trades. Also Artest needs to be gotten rid of as well besides a 2 week period or so guy has been horrible this year. Get something for him while he still has value.

kobe already mentioned 13-14 will most likely be his last season
there is no market for artest, u already said he is having a horrible year,
who exactly is gonna give u anything of value given that fact?
gasol is their most valuable trade chip and he is injured and having a bad season as well

i dont see how people are so optimistic about howard resigning
if he wanted to, why hasnt he made a verbal commitment??
y deal with all the drama for another year if he has already decided on resigning?

kobe and nash are near the end of their careers
the lakers are running an offense that doesnt suit howard
kobe and howard do not get along
lakers are old with no young players worth speaking of
they have no depth and their bench is awful
they have no draft picks the next couple years

unless he wants that extra money and actually wants to be in LA
i dont see the upside for resigning when he can go to houston or dallas

If they resign Howard...........hold tight next season.........the Lakers will have a ton of money to sign a star from the unreal summer 2014 free agent class.

Here is a thought for the haters to hate on........get ready haters............HATE ON:

    Howard, Kobe and LeBron James

Because if he signed today he can only sign a 3 year extension. When the season ends he can sign a 5 year extension.

Obviously my post was incomplete..........as I left out key info. Howard could sign for 30 years right now if the offer was on the table.

David Aldridge@daldridgetnt 12m It's confirmed: Dwight Howard will go with the Houston Rockets when the July 10 moratorium ends. @sam_amick was first with the info.
