$2700? No way. $270,000 and I would destroy that town.

i wouldn't bother with that low of a bankroll. thats not the Vegas experience anybody should have to see unless your accustomed to that type of restrictions.

If you had a job would you try to survive in Vegas for $2700.00?

It would be tough for me to survive on $2,700 for 6 months. I would probably have to give flipper jobs in the bathroom of the Bellagio to make ends meet.

What if you found a casino you could stay at for $720 a month and receive 4 free nights per month, by playing poker or table games for 10 hours a week?
Sure, I haven't eaten yet but the dollar menu at McDonalds is my favourite & I don't have to pay for alcohol.
By my math that's 4 months if I don't gamble at all.
3 months if I want to gamble with about $700. The $700 could last the duration if I don't lose every bet I make.

Have you been to either McDonalds on the strip?

I don't remember them having a dollar menu.

Everything on the strip is expensive.

I've been to both McDonald's on the strip and eat for $4.
Same price as in upper state N.Y.
The McDonald's in the Excalibur and the Fast food chains at the MGM Grand & N.Y. N.Y. also have the same value menus as everywhere else.

Hooters is $29.95 per night + a $9.95 daily "resort fee".
The rate goes up & down depending on what features at the MGM Grand and I belive the average weekend rate is $49 - $59. And then + the $9.95 resort fee/per day.
The Clarion Hotel & Casino offers $39.00 per night 7 days a week.
Even further off the strip than the clarion, down Freemont St there are Motels at $19.95 per night and suites for $550 per month.
I wouldn't want an extended stay in that area.
Even the Clarion is a little far from my comfort zone & it's only 2 blocks from the Encore part of the strip. It's on Industrial.
So, $199.50 to stay at Hoots Monday to Friday & $78 to stay at the Clarion on Saturday & sunday.
    That's $277.50 per week.
Granted I haven't eaten yet nor laid a bet but I'm just saying, it's do-able. $5 a day on McDonald's, yeah I'll end up looking like TT in 6 months but, you gotta do what ya gotta do.
It's not unheard of to get comped a meal or two in Vegas. If you play enough table games (even the $2 BlackJack) you can get comped rooms.
Does anyone know of a cheaper way to stay without sleeping in the middle of the desert? Or getting comped?

Why not just work and/or bet and save up a bunch more money to actually move and live comfortable in Vegas.......Living like a complete nit, on fast food all day, and moving back and forth between shitty hotels would get old real quick

Do you know how much you'd have to win to comfortably live in Vegas, for the rest of your life?
And isn't the goal to not have to work at all?
Yeah it would be nice to wave the magic wand and have $150,000.00 appear on my kitchen table, or cash in my "12 straight winning bets" ticket!
But, I'd rather grind it out & try to make $40 a day to make my $2700 last for a year & a half.
    I don't know. Just sayin'.

What's your game? Do you have a system? If you don't win, what's your stop loss for the day?
If you win, will you leave and be done for the day?

You should have money set aside for lodging, food, gambling and most important, money to get home.
Too many people go there and are broke sleeping in alleys, don't be them.

GL. You have bigger balls than me. Luckily, I have a casino within 20 mins of the house. I can go home broke.

Looks like I'll have $30-$40 a day to live on. The stop loss would work something like, if I turn $40 into $80 I can keep playing with $60 & try not to go under $20, if I get to $120 I won't go below $60, if I get to $200 I won't go below $140 & so on.
If I lose the $40 I am done for the day, cut my losses & try again the next day.
I can eat once a day, set aside $5-$7 for that, if I have a big day I can set aside $15-$18 to eat.

I am paying for my room weekly. The 1st week I am staying for $280, then for the remaining weeks I am staying for $220. This 2nd place allows you to rebook each consecutive week at a lowered rate, so the 2nd week it goes down to $211, 3rd week $201, 4th week $201, & so on.
The reason I didn't want to post where I am staying is cause I don't want JJ Gold showing up in my room and strat bouncing around naked while I'm trying to sleep!
Most of my action will be layed in the Sportsbooks but, I do intend to play in some poker tournaments & cash tables.
I will try to stay away from the roulette & BJ tables but, I'm sure I will try my luck there every now & then.
I am leaving cash in the house safes at a couple of casinos on the strip for emergencies.
Won't be carrying a grand on my at any time unless I've just won that amount.
