    As far as I know, Ray Lewis didn't buy airtime during the superbowl to shove his political/religious opinions down our throats. He expresses his beliefs when someone sticks a mike in his face, rather than making a huge show out of farcical-faux prayer. I never had an issue with a player pointing to the sky or whatever, but Tebow really hams it up.

    Again, if you criticize an african player for anything other than sports performance within the confines of the game, you risk being accused of racisim.

    Possible magazine articles, boycotts, protests, cable news, marches, editorials, lawsuits... his community will not allow anything like that... they look for it 24/7... everyone in corportate America knows that... and will not confront it. Too big a risk. And one individual announcer or reporter makes a statement that is not well received, it could be career ending. Too big a risk.
