How often do public backed teams....

... have a positive ATS record on a season?

I rarely back check anything, and as a result don't even know where to begin to figure this out.

Teams I am talking about are the Yankees, Duke, Cowboys, Lakers, etc.

Lakers usually buries people because trying to bailout and chase. Public team like the spurs are more reliable traditionally through the years.

Sometime 2-5 years ago (I'll look it up later, but someone will beat me to it hopefully) I am pretty sure the lakers were close to 70% ATS for most of the season.

That sounds ridiculous now as I say it, but I remember my friend spitting out the stat clear as day, so who knows.

I've seen a lot of good teams go on some incredible runs (Pats 16-0 season was AMAZING ATS early on, with some mental spreads laying TONS of chalk). Thing is, finding that under-valued 'excellent' team and jumping on them before they get noticed is probably a better move. There's always one and they're good for a small chunk of time.
