    monfils vs simon! WTF!

    Not sure if anyone followed this game but I was just at the arena. I left at the start of the first set in disgust!

    It was comparable to a WTA match. Absolute pussies.

    Simon should have won 3-0.

    This game was possibly a fix. It was the wierdest game of tennis i have witnessed. Out of no where simon just stops making big shots and his unforced errors rack up at a very fast rate, putting monfils back in the game. Monfils hurt his hand (popped a blister) during the fourth, thus he couldnt hit any forehands for a while......but simon the dumb shit kept hitting to his forehand! Monfils also takes that set.

    The critical moment was when simon gave up when the score was 5-4 in the third. I know it seemed as if he had a quad injury but.....wouldnt you give it your all and end it in 3 rather than drag 5 sets???? worse comes to worse if you give it your all and you lose the third, you retire for your bodies sake??? NOP fkn dip shit gives up the third and fourth and then puts effort in the fifth! wtf!

    the 5th set was pretty incredible

    SIck of Monfils. DIdn't see this match but there is always some drama, he has some sort of injury, he makes a miracle comeback during the match.

    Actually the one who got injured was Simon.. and ONLY THAT allowed Monfils to get back to the game by winning set 3&4 6-4 6-1 easy... 5th set they both looked suffering from injuries and I really enjoyed watching this set... best set of the tournament, they pushed themselves to the limits!

    Well you've been there but u probably did not watch at all...monfils played very smart from the very beggining, changing the rythm of play every now and then...simon hit the shots very pecisely tho so he lost the first and second set...i reckon he had cramp issues at the end of second set...monfils was a better player at the third...they were not hitting hard at the end cos they couldnt even walk lol. I'm not really surprised, playing in australia, every rally like 30 shots, the longest ones up to 70...thats fuckin crazy...
    i think it was a really wondeful match and they are both respectable athletes...
    and as was said, yeah it is really easy to whine from the back of your keyboard.
