it's actually very important. I'll be at work (in toronto) but an associate of mine (in philly) is going live. his eye in on Bryzgalov to see his form. That form could play a big figure in whether to take the Under (which im leaning) or over 6.5 in the opening game vs pitts. that hook will kill everyone

I personally hate the flyers but they have a heavy fan base no doubt. Biggest fan base (sadly most disgruntled and pathetic) is Toronto. We have fans in every arena in the league. I wish we could get some solid fukking ownership though. I hope we tank and somehow grab Jones or McKinnon. I wouldnt mind drouin either on the wing.

meh, schenn will probably grow with philly but the hole pronger left is huge. they had to do something with schenn, wasn't worth the money we had.

then again, it is just practice right. Historically there's always been players who could light it up in practice and then do nothing in real game situations. Conversely, players like Dion phaneuf coudn't skate pylons in practice but stand up fairly well in games. Phaneuf hasn't been that bad, better than in Calagary, just part of a shitty team in Toronto.

Here in Montreal, Habs are holding a scrimmage tonight and they're expecting 22,000 fans. fans have camped out for this outside for 2 days in the -22 weather. It's a 1st come first serve. All stuff at habs store is 50% off and everyone gets a FREE hot dog, fry and drink.. and also sat morning (game day), fans can also see FREE both Leafs and Habs practice.. also free hot dog, fry and drink.

In fact, u wanna hear a real -ev move? i just spoke to 2 guys who are now in line in the -22 deg cold. i asked them, why you doing this? their response was.. mostly for the free food. ok, so here it goes.

HOT DOG = you can buy 12 for 79 cents. so that's 7 cents each. buns are 12 for 99 cents. so that's 8 cents each. so HOT DOG = 15 cents.

Fry= A 3 lb bag is $1.49. so a serving is about 10 cents.

Coke= It costs them under 1 cent to make each fountain drink. (it's syrup only) so lets even say you buy a can of COKE from store. 24 for 3$. so each drink is 12 cents.

So basically, you are in line for 8 hrs in freezing cold 37 cents of free stuff???

now they are paying for 2 way subway and bus ride.. 2.5 hrs of transportation..

Dewey, i swear to god, i can't remember how this excited i have been for a season to start.. i am more anxious for sat than the super bowl. the days can't go by any slower. i want it to be SAT right now. i am most looking forward to the NBC game CHI vs LAK. just so i can see LA and their fans see the banner go up and remind them of the good times. Oh, and Pens/Flyers at same time on NBC won't be too shabby. great Sat aft to enjoy, followed then by the Leafs/Habs. i really miss hockey.
