So the books lost on Pats. OK yea I got you there. But everything else is irrelevant really. Can't really say either way on the other game. NBA action was probably down with the football games. It's not like there were any notable matchups tonight in nba. In college the only game with decent action would have been ohio state and michigan and books definitely won there.

Either way they cleaned up on the green bay game last night. Books are doing just fine coin.

So by your admission the books got killed on NE/over, and if everything else was 'irrelevant,' they got hammered today.

Here comes a Thunder double-up (overall and 2H) -- No. 1 public play of the day in the NBA.

So they lost on one game. Big deal. They always make money at the end of the day, you know that.

I'm really surprised OKC is up double digits right now. They have been playing their bench way more minutes than they have at any points this season.

It's the Reggie Jackson, Perry Jones, DeAndre Liggins, and Hasheem Thabeet show.

While Liggins, and Thabeet were studs in college, I thought they were stiffs in the NBA. They have gotten a lot better and are still really young. If Perry Jones and Lamb come around this bench could be really good in a few years.

As for the books getting Hammered, we say this like once a month. Even if they lost a little bit of money, they will be fine. If anything, they probably got a lot of recreational gamblers hooked for life today and now they own them.

Vegas loses maybe one or two days a month.

    Yeah. He does that.

I hate when he dribbles up court and takes a jump shot with out passing to anyone. A lot of the times they're horrible shots too. He still has a lot of maturing to do.

For all the recreational guys that took the Pats and over, there were other "sharp" guys taking the Texans and under.

The Books clean up every month. Even an off day isn't going to kill. If you guys pay attention, Vegas advertises days that the public has huge days. I've read a few articles this season from different publications about how the public cleaned up because favorites were covering at a high percentage.

Vegas is fine when the public wins because then they get customers for life who will ultimately lose it all back and then some.

    Agree re: long run.

Do you think they didn't take a huge hit on NE/over Zeta?

    True.

And I've asked that question before re: which would the books rather take -- public quantity or sharp quality, and to a man, the answer has always been public money.

It's perspective... They lose 200k there, but made 500k yesterday, and have 10 mil in cash reserves... is that a "huge hit"?

If you're talking about offshore books then yes. If you're talking about Vegas then you're wrong.

The NFL is king in Vegas and you would be hard pressed to find a good book for soccer betting in Vegas anyway.

    Yes.

I actually like offshore books more than the books at the casino Vegas. Way more betting options. The only great thing about Vegas books is that you get paid cash money right after the game.

I can't wait to go back in April.

They did good on the early game but everyone had the Pats and the over so I suspect it was a losing day but a good weekend after yesterdays mauling.

Wariors ML and Spread? What on earth are you talking about they lost both? The books did just fine with a very public 10 point fave losing outright yesterday. Id guess 70+% of teasers for this weekend had Denver -2 as one of the legs in it. What was the biggest volume college bball game yesterday...OSU v Michigan...who was the public on large...Michigan. You talk about this stuff like you actually have a clue.

Show me where the public was on Michigan "large".

The Warriors were up big when I posted this thread, and then they gagged.

    LOL.

Lunchbawks is right, outside America no one gives a crap about NFL. The Superbowl might just scrape into the top 10 games/sporting events bet on worldwide. Consider the soccer leagues in Europe (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga etc) tennis, cricket, Hong Kong horse racing, etc.
