Ok: I'll say it! This is why we need an 8 team playoff!

Louisville would of put up a much better performance...

    Yes I said it!

ND wouldn't have beaten any top 25 team tonight. They weren't physical enough, and just came out flat.
Just a bad time to have a showing like this. It's too bad this is all the haters will remember about ND this season, those kids should be proud of what they accomplished.

8 team playoff would be nice, but still too many extra games. 4 is all we're going to get and we have to accept that.

I agree that Notre Dame would have lost to anyone in the top 10 tonight. They don't match up well with anyone in the top 10 in the country from what I seen tonight with a freshman QB. Even the head coach said that he knew it was over when it got to 21-0 which is very hard hole to come out of. If they had an 8 team tourney they would have lost the first game to anyone in the top 10 probably. The only team that they could have beaten in my eyes is Florida because they had no offense to speak of in their bowl game.

Agreed. One would think Oregon would have at least mustered up a few more Pts.

Louisville wouldn't have been in that 8 team playoff. But I think 8 is perfect allowing 1 loss maybe even 2 loss teams in that are playing great at the end of the year such as A&M.

4 Team playoff is enough, Lousiville wouldn't have been invited though.

    1. Notre Dame
    2. Alabama
    3. Florida
    4. Oregon

Unfortunately, Georgia would have gotten the shaft due to the fact that they qualified and lost the SEC title game. Florida is a joke and I would rather see Louisville, Florida State, Stanford, Georgia or KState play.

Someone still would have been bitching with an 8 year playoff. There were a lot of good teams this year, not as my parody as in the past.

Seems like a pretty easy way to do things and not upset the balance of sponsorships, etc. would be to have the six power conference Championship Game winners advance to a playoff and then fill it in with two at-large teams. Of course there'd be some scuttle butt on how the at-large teams get in, but same shit happens every year in the NCAA hoops tourney - just part of the fun IMO.

Then the rest of the teams who don't make it can still go play in some BS bowl games to make everyone happy.

It'll be funny next year to watch 2-3 teams from SEC make playoffs.

    thats never going to happen.

really we need a 16 team playoff but it will be 2 years even before we get a 4 team playoff.

and that deal is locked up for 20 years...

    NCAA is whack.

i would never watch it unless i had money on it

64 teams! January madness! Cut the season to 5 games and then start the playoffs. I really think Colorado would have had a better chance in the playoffs!!!

no question. when was the last time you looked at a season and said, "oh, man, i wish the #6 team had had a shot at the title" (unless of course you're a fan of that #6 team)?
