    BCS National Championship Play - Monday 01/07/2013

    The end of the bowl season is finally upon us with the BCS National Championship!! It's been a long grind with all these bowls and one of my favorite plays of the bowl season will go tonight. Tonight's game has been hyped in the media about two great defenses going at it. However, everyone seems to be forgetting that Alabama has one hell of an offense this year too. AJ McCarron has developed into a great good pocket passer who can move the football and put points on the board. In last year's title game, he moved the ball well but had some serious issues putting it in the end zone. This year, I don't think that will happen. I expect Alabama to take the lead early and ND to make some mistakes in the second half trying to play catch up, which would lead to even more points. A lot of respect to the teams from Vegas and I'll bite on the low number here.

    Alabama / Notre Dame Over 40 (-110) - 2 Units

    Record is being kept in my spreadsheet for 2013 for all to see. I will have another play or two later on as well.

    this thread reminds me of when Indian Cowboy buried the entire service plays forum last year with his 100x purple mega bomb or whatever g*y name the touts come up with on Ala/LSU ov 40...I do think it has a better shot of hitting this year though..so GL

    Last year's title game total could have been set at 27 and I still would have played the under. McCarron is 5x the QB this year and LSU had proven all season in 2011-2012 that they couldn't put points on the board. Notre Dame actually has some football savvy players, not just down south fast kids like LSU did.

    Good luck with your play though. I'm on the Under from weeks ago.
    Notre Dame has the #1 red zone defense.
    Both teams have the top opponents points per game.
    If both defenses are as strong as the regular season, my Under can hold.
    If not, you got the Over.

    I knew McCarron would come out throwing. He played so well last yea vs. LSU just couldn't get it in the end zone.
