SBR is not a players anything. It is a business with a model that is fueled by affiliate kickbacks, advertising and now clickpay revenue as well. This site will generate as much revenue as they can from the posting community. The customer base is not the posting community. The customer base is comprised of any book that advertises or sponsors events for the posting community and is now expanded to those that advertise directly in the forum threads and gives a share of it's clickpay revenue to the site for the privilege.

No matter how the site presents itself with all the pretty giveaways, contests, book ratings et al, there is a price tag on all of it. You are the markup on that tag. It is what it is.

I have said it many times here folks. You are not the customer. You are revenue. Customers complain. Revenue does not.

Those that cannot see it that way will continue to be taken for what can be had. Simple as that. No one including the siteholders here ever want to see anyone crash and burn on a sinking ship. Don't for the life of you as a poster think you will be the first one in the lifeboat though.

Participate as you see fit for your own personal wants and needs moving forward.

Will any of the other SBR rated A+ books realize that they're overpaying to advertise on a website with diminished credibility?

Good post Billy and spot on. John loves the drama right now. Great for site hits. As for US players, he could not care any less whether they go pro or not and I suspect he'd rather US posters not go pro now. Basically all he gets from new US posters going pro is a lousy 200 dollar tax write off when before he was getting kick backs on their losses. Huge difference.

No clue why anyone would have a big balance at BI anyway.

To the question the answers obviously no.

    Completely agree. Spot on.

I posted something like this last year and everyone came to the rescue of SBR talking about how they are here to help the players not for money, etc. In fact, many of those people are the ones now starting the threads bitching about BI. Weird, huh?

honestly, the fact sbr had them at a b is a bit troubling, but why are people using less then a rated books anyways?
