Oh I don't doubt any of that, I just find it amusing that the Hamilton-Phillies talk only comes out after that move. Of course in this day and age, half of the rumors you see I assume are started by the player's agent to drive up price & perceived level of interest.

If you think Revere would be a bad leadoff hitter, you should watch Jimmy Rollins try to do it sometime.
The worst I've ever seen. He is a popup, flyout, strikeout, or groundout every time up. He has no understanding that his job as a leadoff hitter is to get on base, steal, and score runs.
He thinks he's Babe fukkin Ruth and tries to hit a home run every time up.
That's why I put Revere as leadoff, because at this point, anyone is better than Rollins there.

True, but the kid is young and he batted .294 last year. You also can't have a .250 hitter batting leadoff and that is what Rollins hit last year. He killed them so many times it was literally disgusting to watch. Originally Posted by zoo youk
