Yeah I'm know he is tuff for coming back in an playing for a couple plays! Cousins is better then people know! This offseason an preseason a lot of people say if it was a open competition Cousins would of been awarded the starting spot!

There is a REASON why the NFL has so many rules to protect a pocket QB

Unless somebody gets to Griffin quickly and changes his game, he is just another Vick in the making. The hits are going to keep building. No QB can have a long and productive career without converting to a drop back nfl style.

Luck is the quintessential NFL QB style that can last. It is just one of the real differences in college versus pros.

Can't protect him b/c if you take that offense away from him he's nothing. He's not a pocket QB.

At least they were smart enough to take Cousins when so many ppl at the time were saying they wasted a pick on him

Shanahan is negligent in letting him do that. Head coach needs to exercise a little bit more controll over his own personnel.

He won't learn he will continue to fight for the extra 4-5 yards on plays that are meaningless just like Vick and his career will result in the same amount of championships ZERO

Flacco and Cousin threw better balls. Under RG3 skins major weakness is 3rd down conversion. Liberal media are pumping RG3 when its clear Luck is better.

Skins should trade RG3 with his stock so high and before his career is over.

This is just his style and it has a degree of risk...yep just like Vick. Luck is a more secure acquisition and a smarter QB in a long run

NFL should just make a rule that QB can't run the ball and maybe these running QB clowns could play two weeks in a row.

I think Defenses are generally extra motivated to pop him one for making them defend that tricky Offense

Comments like that are agitating b/c it's that same kind of person who wouldn't give Shanahan any credit for Skins success but try and place the blame on him for this injury.

I studied all of the Redskins preseason games. I don't know anyone who would make that statement. I don't recall Cousins doing anything special at all. Kind of a silly statement, to be fair. Both ran the offense that plays to their strengths. I think the Shanahans put Griffin in situations where he couldn't fail or if he did, it wasn't a big deal. Very controlled scheme. Cousins had a nice college career, but I don't think his abilities translate to being an NFL starter. He did do the job today, though.

Are you watching football games? Or just assuming he's a dope like Vick that can't read defenses. Griffin's athletic abilities/arm are all people talk about - but there's a reason why he's so damn good. It's because he can ALREADY read defenses pretty damn well for a kid. He's already ahead of a lot of rookie QBs I've seen at this point in their careers - elite ones. He's definitely a pocket passer with abilities that allow him to run an offense that uses his mobility to keep defenses off guard. He's talented enough in the pocket to run any offense, but because he's so good - and the O that the Shanahans run and have been running forever - allow the QB to do more things and deceive defenses. What that offense did vs the Giants last week is a good measurement on what that team is capable of against an EXCELLENT D Line.
