    but if you've put in your 6 years of service, 7.5 million is not very hight at all

    Please. Guthrie is beyond terrible, he does absolutely nothing well. If Blanton manages to keep HR under control (which moving to Anaheim should help a bunch) he could easily be an average starter even when adjusting for league difference.
