Josh Hamilton talking with the m's

Wow...this would be huge and he'd be a doubles machine in Safeco. Keeping my fingers crossed...I know it's a longshot. Please. One time.

They do seem to play a lot of night games. Don't know if it is more than other teams.

Would be nice to get Hamilton but need a lot more than him to compete again.

The team has discussed three-year deals with Hamilton in the range of $20 million to $25 million per season, major-league sources say.

The Texas Rangers remain more focused on free-agent right-hander Zack Greinke, sources say, creating a possible opening for the
    Mariners.

The Mariners met with Hamilton on Sunday, and theBoston Red Sox also spoke with him during the winter meetings, sources say.

The Rangers are awaiting a decision from Greinke while trying to acquire a potential replacement for Hamilton: Arizona right fielder Justin Upton.

If the Rangers lose Greinke to the Los Angeles Dodgers, they could shift their focus back to Hamilton, then trade for a starting pitcher.
