they played 1 team with a winning record in their last 6 games, and they played the Jets twice in that span, and had a bye week, not hard to look good in that stretch.

Theyre 1-2 against play off caliber teams, the one win was against Denver at home. Well I suppose if you want to count Indy as a play off team then theyre 2-2, but Indy as had an extremely easy schedule this year because they sucked so bad last year. So their 8-4 is a little suspect. But theyll be 9-4 after this next week, so who knows. They might cakewalk their way in.

Not ot get totally off topic but Indy is a perfect example as to how there isnt any parity in the NFL, there are really good teams and really bad teams, and there are teas like Indy, and Pitt and Balt that get to play enough of the really bad teams so they have inflated records, who otherwise would be 8-8 once the season was over, but instead end up 10-6 or even 11-5 because they stockpiled a bunch of wins against 3-13 and 4-12 teams all season.

Belichick will have a great gameplan to neutralize Watt, I expect their run d to limit Foster, and think Brady can have a MVP performance against their secondary. Pats all the way

That goes back to one of my arguments for Peyton vs Brady over the years. Tenn and Jack were pretty good over Peytons time in Indy while NE always got homefield with an easy 6-0 or 5-1 vs Buffalo, Jets, and Dolphin cupcakes. The Jets were only flukey good there for 2 years or so. The one time Brady had to come to Indy in the playoffs he lost.

Thats the slippery slope of that kind of thinking.

Patriots havent been world beaters this year. The only reason I put them in the top 3 is because of the organization as a whole and experience. This team isnt a shadow of the past few teams. Their defense sucks, and their offense is suspect as well, Miami shut them down yesterday and they have been slowed down by a lot of teams with actual talent.

Yes Houston has iffy secondary, but it might come down to who makes that one play .

I am not a fan of any team and dont really have an opinion on this game yet. Week 8 I would be all over Houston, week 13 as it stands now its just a bad game to bet.
Pats offense is definitely suspect. Ranked #1 in the NFL in yards and points.

Brady plays outside in the Northeast. Manning played half his games in a climate controlled dome. I think its pretty proven that Brady>Manning at this point.

Manning w/ 1 ring against Rex Grossman and his running game and D carried him through that playoff run. Brady w/ 3 rings against the greatest show on turf and 2 loaded team in the Eagles and Panthers. Can't compare the 2

Brady gets weapons and puts up the greatest season ever for a QB. No weapons he wins SB's. He gets it done with or without weapons. in 2010 he wins unanimous MVP throwing to rookie TE's, a slot receiver, and no outside threat. Doesn't matter, the Pats will always get it done on offense and the common denominator is Tom Brady.

The Dolphins game was a look ahead game. The Dolphins usually give the Pats a tough game.

The Patriots have been salivating over the opportunity to take down the team with the best record in the AFC for weeks.

I'm glad the Texans had a good game vs Titans b/c they had been playing so shitty lately.Atleast now the line is under 7.

If the Texans had lost to the Titans this game would have been unbettable.

This is a different thread and I won't say PM is better than Brady but rings alone doesn't mean much in a team sport. I guess Steve Kerr and Robert Horry were much better than George Gervin and Charles Barkley...multiple rings to zero....right?

Brady always had Belechik and he always had a good defense and atleast decent running game behind him. Brady goes down they go 11-5 w/Cassel......I doubt any of the soft Colts teams goes 8-8 without PM.

Yea b/c Steve Kerr was as important to the Bulls as Brady is to the Pats. Good argument. Colts are going to be better than 8-8 this year w/out Manning. Manning had Dungy when he won his ring so not like he did it alone, and also always had better offensive weapons.

Eli got to play against the Pats secondary while Brady played against the Giants front 4. We all know who had it easier in those games

Pats are 2-3 ATS this year at home. Not a huge fan of anything on the other side of -3. BOL though. With all the back door covers this weekend I'm not laying money that the Pats blow out a potential AFC Championship opponent. The Pats' secondary, is weak.

I'm rooting hard for the Texans, because this will give the Broncos a superior chance to run the table and get the 2nd seed.

Broncos has the Raider, a banged up Ravens without Suggs, Brownies, and Chefs left. Need Pats to lose to either the Texans or 49ers.

This game is pretty simple....Patriots win by two touch downs....Anyone checked the weather?? Looks like there is snow on the way for Foxboro. Brady doesnt lose in the snow....The texans are the most over rated team in the NFL, good, quite good, but not as good as their record shows...Or is that Atlanta? Either way...I do not see this game being close....New Englands defense is a lot better this season. WILFORK will introduce himself to Foster quickly....Texans will try to control the ball, but wont be able to when the patriots get up by two scores. Thats when we get to see how well Schuab throws the ball in the wet stuff, in a hostile environment. And lets face it. This is a playoff game for the Patriots, they want home field advantage through out the playoffs. The only way to get there is to beat Houston...Cause mark my words Houston will finish with at least three loses, Andrew Luck will beat them. Baltimore loses to Cincinnati. One last thing, if you think the Patriots are going to lose to a Kolin Kantpassit.....you're outta your mind. I'm very confident about the game vs Houston and even more confident about the game against the 49ers.....GO PATS GO!!!!
