Anyone going to the BCS Championship game?

Was just online looking at tickets.
$3,300 for upper level, 20-30 yard line
$2,200 for standing room only behind the endzone - 2nd level

Lottsa $$$$ being laid out by someone.

Maybe its cheaper going through the schools to get tickets

Went to the superbowl last year and tickets were going for about 4-5 times face value two weeks out, an hour before game time they were at face value. Sometimes it is better to wait till the last minute.

    yeah good advice

the problem with trying to order tickets for super bowl/bowl games over the internet at the last minute is almost all aren't email-able.

yes but even if your cost is only $350 each, the opportunity cost of not selling them is what you're out by going.

once in a lifetime-type experience vs getting $4000 for a couple pieces of paper...

would be a tough decision for me

Stub hub. Funny the military bowl, in Washington DC has $26.00 tickets

I found a travel agency offering packages, the prices are about the same but you get 3 night hotel stay and transfers for the same price
It's still pretty steep, but could be a once in a lifetime opportunity too

Yeah I dont really do the ticket scalping thing so the decision is not too hard. But I see your point.

For me the experience is worth it. Can always make more money, can't calways put your alma mater in the BCS title game.

Ive been to Sugar Bowls, Orange Bowl, and several of the lesser bowls but never championship, hopefully I get chance
