    Monday College Hoops Plays

    Off to a great start in college hoops. Picking spots here early on in the season. Looks like we've got a decent card for tomorrow. Afternoon game Butler and Marquette out in Maui has my eye. Really like Butler here. If not for their loss to Xavier, they'd probably be a very slight dog or even more likely a small fave here. Instead, they are a 3.5 point dog. I will take the points as I think they win this game outright over a rebuilding Marquette team.

    Why is Virginia Tech only a 5.5 point fave over NC Greensboro?

    Butler is not that good. I think lots of people get blinded by their tournament success. Butler has just not performed that well against good competition in the regular non-conference season. I'm going Marquette-3(-3.5)

    Don't know much about Marquette this year, but Butler looked slow and mediocre against X.

    Always like dogs on a neutral court, though.

    It does look like they will still struggle to get points on the board just like last year so who knows. Marquette lost their 2 best players from last year, I don't really know what to think about this one yet.

    Marq can really pass and rebound the ball well. Butler will struggle on the boards all year. Everything points to MArq in this game and line is very short...

    3:30 game on ESPN, should get quite a bit action as well...

    You think? This was a game (1H) that I was iffy on. I like it at first glance but not sold on it yet.
