Gronk breaks forearm, out 4-6 weeks

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm during the game and is telling people he'll be out 4 to 6 weeks, according to a source close to the player.
Gronkowski was seen going to the Patriots' locker room late in the fourth quarter with what was an undisclosed injury. He had 137 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game.

Belichick is an idiot for having his stars in the game up 30. Word is the injury occurred on the Patriot's last PAT. Even worse.

Bad Karma always follows around teams that run up the score for no reason.... 2007 Pats end of season, then start of next season Brady injured week 1 for year.

Example 2: Saints last year run up score on hapless qb-less Colts team. End up blowing playoff game vs 49'ers when up very late, and then all the off season stuff, then start the next season 0-4.

    Need anymore examples?

Colts blow 14-0 perfect record pretty much on purpose by pulling starters for 2nd half vs Jets... end up losing in SB. Peyton's last game as a Colts is a playoff loss to same Jets after getting lead very late on a FG drive.

Pats season is gonna end badly. Didn't take long for it to start with the news on Gronk...

Terrible luck for the guy. I hope once he gets healthy he stays that way, he has had so many problems already -- Back injury in college, ankle injury last season, broken arm now.

No one ever wants to mention the Patriots running the score up......But this time it bit em in the ass

With less than 5 min left in the 4th quarter, Brady was still in slinging the rock and the Pats were obviously trying to score by running sweeps and shit like that

Whatever, sucks for Gronk but why are the starters in at that point? Exactly...

Nothing more idiotic than the people who bitch about "running up the score" in a professional sports league. I guess the Patriots should have just run out of bounds on Luck's pick 6 and try not to score at all costs smh.

for real? you pretty much put the chances of going 16-0 at 0% by taking out Manning in the middle of game 15. Everyone knew he was the entire team, as evidenced by last year's results. and you do it at home, in front of fans that paid good money to see the team play 100% to win... take the chance to be the 2nd 16-0 team away from the entire NFL viewing audience?

So you're criticizing the Colts for hurting the integrity of the game and also criticizing the Patriots for going hard the full 60 minutes? Can't have it both ways.

pick 6 happened when it was 17-38, still only a 3 score game with the entire 4th quarter to go. nothing wrong with that. are you stupid?

pick 6 wasn't their last score of the game, wasn't even their 2nd to last score of the game.

no reason to go hard WITH THE STARTERS when its pointless to add on points. like 2007 their season ends badly with a giant 18-0 loss to a 14 point super bowl underdog? then Brady out for the year 2008 1st quarter of week 1? oh no, its just bad luck that those things happened.

you can think what you want and i will too

Their next two scores came after a long punt return and the one after that was after a 40+ yard reverse by Edelman. It's the Patriots fault the Colts have arguably the worst defense in the league?

+1. Pats should have given the ball to the Colts a few times and went out for ice cream after the game together.

exactly, run a reverse hahaha ok... you would see anyother team in the league running straight running plays like dives up the middle at that juncture in the game. karma already evidenced by the injury to Gronk when he had no point still being in the game for any sort of play... that's perfect time to get reps in for the backups in case you need them to step up and be a starter down the road.

Pats should have faked the extra point and got the 2 pt conversion to make it 60 on the dot.

you are a fool, why can't the Pats score more with their backups in very late in the game and using simple plays if they just can't be stopped in the game by the Colts D no matter what. instead of keeping the starters in and risking injury while also using passes down the field and things like reverses.

think a little. anyways... its too late now, Gronk out and that hurts the Pats when they are fighting for a bye week with Balty and Denver in the AFC at this point in the season.

Gronk wasn't even playing the last two possessions. He was out there for the extra point because he's part of the kicking unit.

You mean like how the Ravens ran a fake FG after being up 20+ in the 4th last week?

If Ridley or Vereen run up the middle and get injured somehow then people would still say that's karma for running up the score lol. Gronk was injured on a PAT, that's fluky shit. Like Belichick said, tell him which players are going to get hurt and he'll take them out.

You guys are a joke. When the Patriots barely beat a shitty Bills teams you hear about how they're struggling to beat bad teams. When they lay a beatdown on the Colts you hear they're running up the score. Patriots should just try to win every game by 10-14 to keep everyone happy.

Pats will be criticized no matter what they do. It's just blatant jealousy from other fans. Nothing more, nothing less. If Gronk wasn't on the wing in the extra point formation and the defense came off the edge and slammed into Gostkowski's knee, then all you would hear is, "why was Gronk not in there to block?" These people are total idiots.

Ravens did that, I didn't even know they did that... who pays attention to a Ravens Raiders game anyways? Ravens already have everyone hurt... they can't get anymore bad karma at this point in time

I'm gonna bump this thread down the road when more "bad luck" happens to the Pats this season or in the playoffs. I choose to believe in karma, you don't have too.

    10-14 pts... or 35 maybe?

i can see it now, they will run a reverse late in the game down a score and the guy will fumble and end their chances of winning

I don't even care that much that the Pats run the score up but I hate when Pats fans try to act all innocent and ignorant about it

No other team is passing with their star QB up 30 or whatever it was with 4 min left in the game.....running reverses too. And when running the ball, they are pitching the ball. Every other team in the league is running a dive up the gut 3 times and punting with their 2nd unit.....The Pats have Brady chucking the rock. And that's cool, but don't complain when bad shit happens and don't try to act like they don't run it up, because they obviously do

I'm a South Carolina fan, and Spurrier runs it up but he uses all back up players to get them reps and have some fun for all the hard work they do at practice when given the chance....

No reason to keep your starters in at that point, it's foolish for many reasons

EXACTLY, thank you MoneyLineDawg. Finally somebody with logic around here. I say the same damn thing and all these FOOLS who obviously didn't watch the game come in and say shit like if you don't go hard 100% for 60 minutes like that you are disrespecting the other team... LMAO. Watch every other team in the league when up 20+ late in 4th quarter and then say that shit again. Stop them, yeah... how about put in the backups and go ahead then if you can score still with them so be it, give them some reps so they are more ready if needed to be put in the starting lineup duh!
