Because SEC is the best and they win it every year.

Other teams play for 2nd place.

Good point. I think ND beats Ohio State. Man, that would have made so many people mad if ND got to play Ohio State for he championship game. Truthfully, I think that Ohio State teams has a greater chance of slipping along the way, if they were really playing something.

South Carolina is not that great. Wofford? Seriously?

Didn't read all of this thread, but from what I saw Stanford not getting nearly enough credit. Stanford is a really good team. Would take them over S Carolina, Florida and maybe Georgia(cause they undisciplined).

Georgia is a fraud. They lucked out and avoided all the good teams in the SEC except for Florida and South Carolina.

South Carolina whooped that ass and Florida turned the ball over 6 times.

The jealousy is strong in this one. Get out of here with these threads and stop being such a homer. When UL actually plays a tough schedule they will get respect, which will never happen in the big least.

So is everyone just crowning thebsec already. Last I checked they still play notre dame. Give nd credit they found ways to win and had a little luck. But there defense is no joke. I think they would be 10 point underdogs to bama.

last season you could have made a case for ok st over alabama, in fact i argued for the cowboys. this year, alabama is a clear number 2 right now, no one even close.

Yes you did, my bad. But the point is that Alabama is easily the best one-loss team in the country, they are still the TOP ranked team on any set of power ratings worth their salt, about 13.5 ahead in undefeated Notre Dame on neutral field. So BCS has it right as of now, Bama should be the top one-loss team

OK so the winner of Ga Bama is in, the loser is history. IF Notre Dame losses we are looking at either Oregon, Florida and LSU? We should be able to estimate BCS calculations on who gets unless its super close.

Also Kansas State might be ahead of Oregon. LSU has ZERO chance, they already have two losses

im still going with fsu deserving the spot over oregon or kansas st if the irish go down saturday and they win out.

they would have wins over clemson and florida at home and a 1 point road loss in september.

my mountaineers backed out of a game with them which caused them to play savanah st and made their non conference slate very weak.

k st just got housed by baylor and oregon lost a home game against a backup qb, get them 2 the hell outta there.

Fair or not, Noles have practically no shot to play in BCS, they will probably be 9th or 10th when standings come out tonight. Standings should look something like this:

    1. Notre Dame

    2. Alabama

    3. Georgia

    4. Florida

    5. Kansas State/Oregon

    6. Kansas State/Oregon

    7. Texas A&M/LSU

    8. Texas A&M/LSU

    9. Florida State/Stanford

    10. Florida State/Stanford

    2. Alabama

    4. Florida

maybe if they pummel florida they get voted up to 3rd in the human polls (assuming nd loses, if nd wins they have 0 chance anyways).

Kind of a shame to have Florida in there under any scenario.

I would think Oregon still has a shot if they can finish strong. KState should get pushed out of the top 6 losing by 28 to Baylor.

It's a mute point if ND wins and I think they will. But of the three teams that come in to play if ND losses namely Florida, Oregon and KState they have to give Oregon the nod.

it creates a housing bubble type thing. when all the team in the conference is voted high the value become greater for every other team in strength of schedule. coaches in other conferences should realize this and vote based on conference lines to bump their conference, thereby, bumping themselves.

Waiting for a line to come out on Fl Fl St. This is a nasty rivalry so anything could happen but I think Fl St will beat them. Could be some real chaos if ND and Florida lose and Bama wins a squeaker. Then you have georgia, LSU, KState, A&M and even Fl St in there and why not ND too? Too bad the playoffs don't start this year.

Agree. I'd put Georgia near the top of the contenders list. And they'll beat Tech Saturday, while Florida will lose to Florida State.
