it is crazy how they signed Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle and Heath Bell Ozzie guillen and all are gone after one year. What next do the Jays sign Ozzie Guillen as manager???

Pitching is still suspect. Batting will improve but can Bautista stay healthy? Encarnacion won't repeat what he did last season but should be good for 30-35 home runs Reyes can get on base and should provide for more RBIs. Brett Lawrie and Colby Rasmus have to step it up. Jays Bullpen is so-so could still be improved.

that is one hell of a nasty rotation mixed with nasty right handers and left handers wow.

should hit bonafocio 2nd behind reyes. speed on the bags in front of bautista and edwin would be off the charts

If the Marlins had kept these players, they would have been no better than a middle of the division team, shelling out high salaries. Why shell out the money to these guys after the result they got last year? If he trades Stanton and/or Morrison, then my opinion might change, but I think Loria did the right thing. Its no different than what the Red Sox did.

At least, some years this owner tries. The Indians just put their cash in their pockets.

Yeah, the Marlins would be devastated if they lost Morrison's .707 OPS and his minus glove.

The Marlins do this every 5-7 years don't they?? I can see why people are outraged because on the surface it LOOKS bad and it APPEARS like they pulled a little bait and switch action on the fans and the people of Miami...however:

    1) He spent all that money and got a lousy team for it; and

    2) He spent all that money and attendance still sucked!

Why not, if you're the Marlins, blow up the team and dump salary and get ready to be competitive again in 2 years, like they always do.

IF they didn't have the track record for doing this exact thing, it would be a much bigger deal than it is.

BESIDES, this stadium deal was made YEARS AGO before they even thought of signing any one of these over paid clowns!!

Jays just landed Melky... there is your #2 spot hitter.

This team is going to be solid. Powerful and very fast.

I am also hearing they are not done yet... they are looking for one more starter.
