Sorry to hear you are going through this

100% correct with getting shit taken care of, thank you for that reminder

When people get cancer you always hear all the rah rah "you're gonna kick cancers ass, it doesn' stand a chance stuff"

but when you have medical shit going on, especially the C- Cancer word these days. It's scary as penetrate. So I wish you strength and a supportive family and cloud of friends. EVEN when you are huge fave to come out clean. Sounds like the odds are in your favor, I hope you can ride with that and have that support around you to keep the outside scary chances to a minimum

and we're here for venting and documenting purposes

You nailed it, "you got this!", wish it was that easy but at the same time a lot have it much worse than me.

Sometimes I stand back, this would be impossible to go without without my family and friends. No longer doing structly mental health for a living but vocational rehabilitation, everybody has been super suppportive there.

Sadly without insurance or shit insurance I can see why something like this could quickly bury you, as Patty would say.

It really puts things into perspective. We here on the forum are worried about our next win and the up coming football season, and you are dealing with this. Makes what we do here nothing compared to the battle you have to fight.

Remember this. Regardless of what you go through, God is bigger. He's giving you the opportunity to change the world, even with cancer. Looks like you got a good start. Keep on. You can be an inspiration to many others.

Yep, or if you are going through a bottle of tums a week. If something is off for more than a week, I'd get it look at by a doctor or nurse...one that cares and you actually trust.

Beautiful comment. Yes, this opportunity will not be wasted. I'm a counselor by trade and this opportunity to do something positive out of this will not be wasted no matter what the outcome.

I think you are right, the chemotherapy is the same they have been using for the last 30 year ("red devil" doxirubicen/ adraiamycin) however the assessments and genotypes have advanced significantly.

The exact cancer is invasive ductal carcinoma,, ER+, HER2-, no breast cancer genes, no history for breast cancer in my family. It is in the immediate lymph nides which I has some removed.

This thing is being driven by Estrogen and they have hormonal therapies out there to take to control it or reduce it from coming back.
