Taj Gibson extended by Bulls to 4 year 38 million dollar contract

I really like this kid, and his game. But almost 10 million a year?

DEFINITELY overpaid. He can definitely play, but no way is he worth that much.

This is great to see. Now dump Boozer for a spare leg for D.Rose and get Taj the PT.

He is so much better right now than boozer.

Smart move. Glad the team decided to make an investment in this guy.

Overpayed by about 15-20 to be honest. Kid will never blossom into a true offensive force

The second part is true, but now-a-days true offensive forces make a lot more money than that. They did what they had to to make sure he stays a Bull, and he is a good part of the gritty/hustle type persona they have been going for for years.

I like Taj's hustle, defense, work on the boards, especially offensive, (which is a big part of his offense) the rest of his offense i'm ok with staying the same.

its not a huge contract but with this current salary cap, it will be interesting how the Bulls proceed.

I wish they could have gotten rid of Boozer before this year. agree on that as well.

I hope the Nikola Mirotic draft pick pays dividends 2-3 years from now

Toronto DeMar DeRozan (four years, $40 million),
Golden State Stephen Curry (four years, $44 million)
DenverTy Lawson four years, $48 million).

He has always had a suspect offensive game. His biggest issue at USC was body control, as the kid was the most foul prone player I can remember, and would be on the bench with a ton of time still left in the 2nd half. He has gotten much better, obviously. I have always felt if this guy was given the PT he deserves, he would shine in this system.

His defense was always aggressive, kid always had that high motor hustle, and his work ethic seems to be good too.

Like you said, his offense comes from his hustle on the boards. Noah is similar in that way as he simply outworks his opponents down low.

They're paying him half as much as Boozer who will be amnestied after this year anyway

DeRozan is the one who doesn't come close to deserving the extension he got.

Rose missed ALOT of time last year during the reg season, and it didn't hold the Bulls back

that defense and team shit that Thibs has them doing works!

We had one of the best benches in the league, thus allowing for the Bulls to keep playing at a high level.

Our bench is decimated in comparison.

As a Raptors fan I agree 100%. I like DD but he is totally and completely replaceable. Such a bad signing, sigh.

Happy for him, I remember when he was the lowest paid on the team and Scalabrine was making more than him.

I think the Bulls bench could be as good, and maybe a bit better than last years

I love Nate Robinson's rebounding, even if he can be a loose cannon at times

I do miss the White Mamba though
