You would think the Giants have good value at +155 or so for the series. I dont see much discrepancy between these teams.

Hate to drop the 'v' word here, but tons of value in SF series line +155.

    Good pitching beats good hitting.
I can easily see a game 5 tied 2 games each.
Vogelsong and Cain are quality starters, Timmy had a nice second half, looked good in long relief last week.

I'll wait until tomorrow, but SF +155 is a strong lean here.

I've been researching the numbers in this matchup from every angle and I think I found a key factor that heavily favors San Francisco. The Giants moved to California in 1958, which was 54 years ago. Two times 54 equals 108. There are exactly 108 stitches on every MLB baseball. Personally I would never feel comfortable touching Detroit after seeing that kind of analysis.

Gentleman, please. You're wasting your time with all the in depth analysis and handicapping. 108 stitches? Lol. There's only one thing we all need to know and that's WHO THE FUKK IS DEEMER BETTING ON?

The great & soon to be sainted Marco Scutaro
    Career vs Verlander.217
    Fister .091
    Sanchez N/A
    Scherzer.444
If people honestly think Scutaro is going to make some great contribution think again.

That team total for the first 5 is still 3.5. Juicy but a decent play.

Can't argue with this. I for sure wouldn't lay -175 for a team that doesn't eve have homefield advantage

Wait till after game 1 if you want to make a play on the Giants. More then likely they lose game 1 and the odds will get a lot better.

I may be lampooned for saying so but it doesn't really matter who pitches which game. Sure, you'd like Verlander going in Game 7 but what if you don't even make it to a Game 7? Everyone that gets the ball has to pitch well in order win the Series. Look at the NLCS with Zito going in Game 5. That was the turning point of the series. Who agreed with that move by Bochy? Zito shut the Cards down and that catapulted the Giants to an improbable series win in 7 games.

    Giants win.

And this little fact: Three times in the past, the World Series has matched a team that went to Game 7 in the LCS against a club that swept its series. In all three instances, the team coming off a Game 7 win breezed to the championship. Boston swept Colorado in 2007, St. Louis chased Detroit in five games in 2006 and Orel Hershiser and the Dodgers beat Oakland in five games in 1988.

Best news for Tigers backers. Bumgardner pitching Game 2 and I guess a good chance game 6. Knowing the Giants tho, there will be a rain-out or two and they will be able to skip a bum start.

A lot of uncertainties in this series, but one thing I know for sure is if Tigers show some balls against this guy, he will lay down. Don't be scared Tigers!

One thing I don't like about this pitching lineup is you would have Sanchez starting a game 7. Not the biggest fan of that setup. As far as everybody saying Verlander will pitch off of short notice, have you not seen how the Tigers have handled him in the playoffs the last few years? He isn't going to start 3 games in this series even if it goes 7. He won't pitch off of short rest either.

Don't let game 7 of the NLCS fool you, October is actually the least rainy month in the Bay.

You are certifiably a fvcking idiot now. Do me a favor: go back through my MLB season thread and see how many of my big losses were backing favorites and eating juice. I'll wait. Here's a hint: pretty much all.
