#39"Just heard the news today..."
So very shattering to hear that Norm Macdonald had died.
A piercing blow on a otherwise beautiful summer day.
I savored everything Norm Macdonald...tee-vee, radio, dvds, recordings, books
and he never failed to deliver.
Norm was truly a dazzling Northern Light that was brilliantly displayed, always
delivering laughter and joy to the very center of my being.
Norm had a wildly childish presense whenever he made an entrance.
I loved the respect and appreciation that Dennis Miller had for Norm Macdonald.
Norm's phone calls to Dennis Miller's radio show were like comedy manna (God's nourishment) from heaven.
The love that Dennis had for Norm's genius and his comedic intelligence came shining through
when he picked up the phone and Norm was on the line.
Electricity ensued and didn't stop until the conversation ended.
Good Bye You Old Piece Of Coal-
Rest In Piece Norm

#43Probably the most famous person I ever played poker with in the real world. Big poker players like Phil Ivey, Jamie Gold, David Peters, and athletes like Calais Campbell were bigger to me though.Comment -

#44RIP Norm
I met Norm on a few occasions here in LA. He used to live in Playa Vista where I owned a condo and he had a dog so I would see him around a bit.
Anyways, one day we're at the dog park and it's just me and him and our dogs. So we start chatting - I had a Lakers hat or shirt on and he says in total Norm MacDonald voice " So uh...you like the Lakers huh?" I'm like "yeah I am a die hard fan...have been since I was little." He says " You know uh...Jimmy Buss lives next door to me here in Playa Vista". I'm like "yeah I heard he lived here. There's a few other Lakers and Clippers that have places here." He goes " You know uh...he likes black hookers and cocaine"
I'm dying trying not to laugh because he's serious but it's like he's doing a bit. He says "Yeah black hookers and cocaine. Like really dark black. They party all night. He has hookers coming in and out of his place all the time" I honestly didn't know what to say. It was one of those surreal moments.
Every time I met him, it was like he was doing a bit. The guy was super funny and cool every time I ran into him. Sad to think that's where all my Norm MacDonald stories will end.Comment -

Same feeling toward Senate and House members in the Washington Swamp as most of them blow pure political crap hypocrite garbage out their mouths daily to the public.
If they die they die, so be it! I don't give a rats ass.

#60We didn’t do anything to enhance Kobe’s or Norm’s life. Many of us however feel that they did. They shared their talents with the world and many of us appreciated it. If you don’t care then so be it but it’s not anywhere near as simple as “they wouldn’t care about you if you died so you shouldn’t care about them.” They didn’t know us, just like you said, but we liked the world better with them in it.
i wouldnt care if the nba was completely dead tomorrow and we had to bet on D-league games
If everyone in the NFL disappeared tomorrow....the XFL or something else would pop up again
Id be fine with that
No celebrity helps my life at all
like i said, i feel sorry for all of you guys that rely on that.
sbr posters fill that void for me....and i care about almost all of them here
