That's because BYU doesn't stand a chance. A less than mediocre offense against an absolute powerhouse defense.

I snatched BYU+14 with the very first bet I made this week. I love their D and the 2 TDs with them is a gift. Not completely sold on ND, always seem a bit overvalued when they are winning. Last weeks comeback to beat a big rival in OT had to be draining after finals week.

Although ND D is legitimately strong, they have played a murders row of opponents thus far and it may be hard to maintain intensity in a non rival game they are expected to win. I think it goes under and the 14 is a nice cushion with a very stout defensive team in what looks like a 7-10 pt game.

Because BYU has a good defense as well. It's a sucker bet if you ask me. I think Notre Dame walks all over BYU. The mormons have a lot of trouble scoring.

I like the fact Riley Nelson is back at QB for the second week in a row. Last week BYU matched Oregon St for over 3 quarters, 3 tds a piece, 21-21 late in the game.

BYU is a team who won a bowl game last year, returned a ton of players on both sides of the ball(8 and 9?), and have held 4 of 7 opponents this year to 7 or less points(7,6,3,0).

It may move downward, like you mentioned sharps bet BYU at 14, simply because it is alot of points to give a team in a defensive game. ND has proven themselves against stout opponents, but this could be a letdown spot after last weeks taxing win, you know those players were partying hard this week, especially after finals too.

ND only had 13 in regulation last week? ND has actually scored 20 pts or less 4 out of 6 games this year. Honestly think this one is 20-17. BYU had their QB out a couple of games this year, last game was his first one back.

They only looked abysmal with Nelson at QB at Boise St losing 7-6. Close game at a tough place to play and I definitely don't expect BYU to have 5 turnovers this game like that one.

I got this at +13.5. ND's already looking at the OU game. They don't think BYU is a concern.
Domers will win, but not by 2 TD's.

The Ole Under on ND TT seems like a good play. Just got to worry about RN turning the ball over.

I got BYU +13.5, missing out on 14, but that's OK. People commenting on how BYU is going to score are overlooking the fact that Notre Dame won't score more than 20.

BYU's offense may not get the ball in the red zone. They are awful

They don't need to score 20 to cover.

And if BYU manages an offensive touchdown, that will be 1 more than Michigan State, Michigan, Miami, and Stanford-- COMBINED.

The under is really the play here, but if I had to take a side it would be BYU and the points. Neither team will score. This could be another Boise St. vs BYU game.

ND will not overlook this game. They are still not respected per se and this team is hungry. Spread is probably high but under looks good as has been said.

Did anyone see Oregon State's backup QB carve up BYU last week? That was the first real decent offense BYU has seen this year, and their secondary didn't look so good. Notre Dame doesn't throw the ball extremely well, but you have to figure they will be able to pick their spots against this defense.

Good luck with this play, but I'm avoiding it like the plague.

Depends on your handicapping style--- do you like to use the eyeball test? Do you think BYU is as good as Michigan State or Miami?

Or do you think they are closer to Michigan or Stanford?

I think BYU is horrible, and I don't understand the logic of playing a road team that is as weak as BYU is offensively. Add to the fact that Riley Nelson has a seriously banged up back, and won't be able to run much.

BYU's defense is solid, Notre Dame is a top 5 team, whereas Kansas St might drop 40 (and be a 2TD fav) against BYU, Notre Dame offense isn't at the level to dominate solid defenses.
ND wins ranging from 27-3 to 20-17.
