    they were up 7 and still had to run a few plays (granted they were kneel downs)......you go up by 9 and even if you lose onside you win.

    Yea i should have restated. During a free kick occurring after a safety. The ball is "live", just like a standard kickoff. So during that free kick, ANYBODY can catch that ball and get possession
