Whats the play for the Giants Reds Game. Starts at 1 EST

    leaning square

    UNDER

offensives a generally very tight in elimination games and now they will be going up against to complete beast. these line ups are going to keep getting turned over until some one scores that proverbial all important first run.

Cincy and Under - Love Latos in this spot and runs will be at a premium.

No NL team has ever lost a division series after winning the first two games, and no team in the majors has ever taken a 2-0 lead in a five-game series and lost the next three all at home.

Will the Reds make history this afternoon?

You can not go against Cain here at plus money. This team has been in elimination mode for 2 games now and handled the pressure well. This will be the first time these reds had real pressure. 2-0 giants

I am with you on the under. Cain has been hot as hell the past couple of months, Latos generally very good against SF and always sharper at home. Seven was a nice number to get here, this game should be 6-6.5, should definitely be a tight closely played game with neither pitcher or bullpen giving much.

i just can't see Cain having back to back starts. It just doesn't happen. hes a bulldog and a beast. pulled trigger on the UNDER.

    lets see a 2-1 final.

I am with you on this. Matos was brought in for this spot. He likes pitching at home and vs SF. He has had his worst games against bad teams (except the St Louis games), but he is generally a 0-2 run pitcher in this spot and I will take the Reds bullpen over anyone's in MLB this season. Reds haven't lost 3 in a row at home this year either. Reds 3-2.

Just gonna throw this stat out there: the Giants have scored more runs on the road this year than anyone else in the league. Obviously the majority of those runs didn't come against a guy like Latos in a hyped-up playoff atmosphere, but it may be worth evaluating how much of a homefield edge you're giving Cincinnati.

Besides the Reds not losing 3 in a row at home all season I really cant see them losing 3 in a row right now. If the Giants can pull this off good for them but gotta go REDS!

a huge factor with the Reds is that Votto is still recovering with his knee and won't be 100% until next year

equalized though buy Hunter Pence being about 40% and not even being able to get down the first base line.

Your last stat is useless as most years the format is 2-2-1 for home and away.

Was just looking at stats and I was suprised. I keep seeing people talking about the reds having a better offense. San Francisco had a higher batting average, more hits, and more runs scored then the reds this year. That suprised me

yes. i said this in one of my articles before this series started. if you look up an down the reds line up they only have 2 players hitting over .270

This is true but SF didn't hit a damn thing solidly this entire series until Leake/Arrendondo yesterday....2 of the Reds worst pitchers. Leake wasn't even on the postseason roster...so its completely stupid to let him give up 5 earned yesterday....but thats Dusty Baker.

Cain at + money is a tempter for sure.

Reds would more than likely have already won this series had it not been for an error in the 10th inning by an 8 time gold glove winner. Momentum has totally shifted since.

Cain to continue where Timmy left off last night and take the Giants to the NLCS

You guys are throwing stats out that that Cincy hasnt lost 3 in a row at home, but stats like that go out the window in the playoffs espcially in an elimination game. Consider Kris Medlen hasnt lost for the Braves in the past 23 starts and what do you know he loses when it matters the most.

If you still want to be stat reliant then Ill counter that with a stat too: Matt Cain has a 7-0 record for day games this year.

The momentum is on the Giants side and thats what it is all about in playoffs: Momentum.

    Giants for plus money.

It looks like vegas is on Cincy run line(+175) and the over 7. both good plays.

The reds just saw Cain pitch 4 days ago when he took the loss at home. It's possible he pitches a better game today but highly unlikely imo.

The books have made an absolute killing on this series, im gonna continue to bet with them.
