I am pretty sure you've never read anything about baseball history. If you did, you would know what you are saying is absolute nonsense.

Ur living in the moment! Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, Charlie Hustle, George Brett, and the roids boys Bonds, Gay-Rod etc. Truly splitting hairs with this debate but yeah he is worthy of conversation.

Let's have this conversation in about 5 years. Mike Trout has the potential to be the best hitter and player of all time. Dude is a fukkn ROOKIE and look at those numbers. It's absurd.

now you know how i feel when people compare Wilt Chamberlain's 100 pt performance to Bryant's 81 points. No comparison.

    100 years from now?

Sports will be nothing in 100 years compared to today

We are in an era of the perfect mix of minimal technology with superior athleticism.

In 100 years it will be so much technology. Everything will be easier.

No way I can see another player like Lebron James (275 pound PG/PF/SF) as long as NBA exists.

they would have to be taking some new type of performance hancing drug to be pitching 110 mph.

In the dead ball era, in 1931 Lou Gehrig hit .341, hit 46 homers. drove in 184

Now pay attention here, Babe Ruth him right above Lou in the 3 hole, Ruth that season hit 46 homers also.
That means Ruth cleaned up the bases 46 times with homers before Lou even stepped in the box.
Not to mention the numerous times Ruth drove in runners with doubles and single.
184 RBI, in a league of 8, not 30, every major league starter Lou faced in 1931 belonged in the bigs, maybe 65 percent on the pitchers today belong in the majors.

Take a look at Gehrig's career, compare it to Miggy.
Makes Miggy look like a t-ball player.

Miggy had a monster season, yes, best hitter of all time? Hardly?
I change my vote for MVP from Trout to Miggy, but let's get off his rooster, OK, I can name 15 hitters who I can claim 'best of all time' before I go to baseball-reference.com and before I get to my second cup of coffee.

Albert Pujols has 3 better years than him this triple crown year.

    Pujols 2003: .359 avg, 51 2B, 43 HR, 124 RBI, .439 OBP, .667 slug (79BB- 69 SO)
    Pujols 2006: .331 avg, 22 2b, 49 HR, 137 RBI, .429 OBP, .671 slug (92 BB-50 SO)

Jesus, what are you 16 years old?

Miggy has had 7 years(including this year) of obtaining a batting average of over .300 and over 110 RBIs. That's a good hitter especially moving from the NL to the AL.

I don't understand why this is even a debate. He is not top 10 and its not even close, you all must either be under the age of 20 or have no understanding of baseball (most likely both)

I never said where he stands as far as listings go. All is mention is that he has put up good numbers. Guy is still young too. I just wish he would lose a couple pounds.

    Paco, ease up homeslice.

Top 10 is probably more accurate. I wanna see how long the brother lasts. When you are as hard on yourself as he is away from the diamond, it can be expected that this may be the pinnacle.

Can't wait to see the future price on the Tigs after the dust settles though.

Here's a list in no particular order:

Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Mickey Mantle, Jimmie Foxx, Barry Bonds, Albert Pujols, Stan Musial, Lou Gehrig, Pete Rose, Rogers Hornsby, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., Joe DiMaggio, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Frank Robinson

Miggy is great but he is not Top 15
