    NFL Refs, 10k+ per game

NFL Refs just went from 8k to over $10,000 a game

At 20 games a year, they will earn over $200,000.

Free market prices. Can't complain. If it was that much of an issue, the NFL wouldn't pay it, they'd keep the replacement ones. Good for them for getting paid.

That is pretty good money considering you don't work the entire year. I would rather see the refs get more money then some of these football players who are overpaid and don't produce.

Its all perception and hype. The replacements had some bad calls sure, but the regular refs make some horrible ones as well.

The REPLAY booth should have over turned that call in the GB/Sea game. If you ask me it is another cover up conspiracy on the leagues part. Notice how quickly shit got done because of the media frenzy around that? Not a single word about how the BOOTH had the power to over turn it, only about how the refs blew it. Refs blow calls all the time, the real ones, but the booth or replay saves them the kind of embarrassment that call caused this time.

While the ref got the call wrong, obviously, the booth 100% should have changed it. EVERY scoring play is reviewed now, so it wasnt a question of time or even needing to be challenged. It was done automatically because it involved a score. 1 million times out of 1 million that ruling on the field is changed. Why not this time? They dont get any more obvious than that. It wasnt the officials on the field reviewing it either but someone or someones in the room upstairs doing it. Presuming those guys werent replacements but league officials.

Its easy to blame the refs, but ultimately it wasnt their fault. They just started the process. That new rule is in place this year just so shit like that wouldnt happen, therefore it shouldnt. But it did. GB got hosed because of politics or some back room shady dealings. But I am sure some where down the line they will get paid back with a win they probably shouldnt have gotten, and it will be business as usual in the NFL.

It's amazing how quickly people forget that these guys suck. Yes, they are clearly better than the division 3 and lingerie bowl rejects that were hustled in last second to replace them. But officiating is still sub-standard in the NFL and some of the stuff the regulars were fighting against, like the taxi squad, might help a little.
