Hasn't even been 24 hours after the Trojans got exposed by Stanford and already the media darling Notre Dame Golden heads are being written about "Can they make the run" "This Irish team is special" "Return to glory?"
They've been halfway silent the last three or four seasons after constantly propping up one Buckeye or Irish or Trojan team preseason and hoping for a great result time after time after time. I understand the marketing aspect for positioning in the major markets to keep followers interested and hopeful but at some point you just lose credibility as a sports writer when you don't just admit that the power structure is what it is.....the best from the SEC followed by a lucky challenger from another conference.
This year its safe to say again that the winner of the LSU/Alabama game in Death Valley will go to Miami to face either each other again or I'm going to say either Florida State or Oregon. Please put a stop the madness, Layne Kiffin will never win a championship at USC, Urban Meyer will not field a team in Columbus that will contend with anyone of the top tier and please please please...don't start in on the "specialness" of Notre Dame until they are 11-0 at best with a 29 point average margin over their opponents....its just not going to end well.
