I don't see anyone all that much better. McCutchin maybe, but I am skeptical to say the least. Consider that Braun leads the NL in HR and RBIs (two "traditional" stats) and he is leading the NL in Slg, OPS, WRC, and WAR (fangraphs). Virtually in the top 5 of every offensive category if he is not #1. He has more steals than any other MVP contender. All this coming into the year with all the scrutiny on him for alleged steroid use. Not to mention no Prince Fielder batting behind. Of course we know how predictable the voters are going to be by picking a player on a winning team. It's not Braun's fault the Brewers' bullpen sucks.
Sorry, I don't see a better or "more valuable" player on any team other than Braun in the NL.
