    Well, I don't know about that. It's still pretty popular, especially on the East Coast. I do know though that it is not the "national pastime" anymore that's for sure. Football (pro and college) is way more popular. Basketball is more popular too (pro and college) and probably WWE is more popular too.

    Going to the stadium is just something to do with friends now. It's more entertainment than anything else. In the old days, people were very serious about MLB. Fans would go in suits and in very formal dress and talk about it with reverence. These days, nobody really cares. Personally, I am surprised attendance is so high.

    cmon the guys batted over .300 every yr but 5. In 4 of those 5 yrs it was in the.290s. so every yr he was under .300 the following yr he juiced cuz his avg went up? His power numbers are up but the guys not a homerun hitter. His Homeruns fluctuate every yr. One power streak for a guy like that will make his HR numbers look better.

    Its not like hes hitting 450ft homers. just look at his stats. So according to skip he juiced after 08. According to his numbers. A guy like jeter you just dont accuse of something like this unless you have more proof than just hes 38 and playing well.

    charlie hustle had other goodies such as amphetamines, molitor is 50/50 as was around his time that lot of nlf guys were messing with it, chipper is another coinflip as is everyone playin in this day and age, simple fact isa these guys are competitive as shit and you kidding yourself if you dont think most will look for that extra edge, i mean maybe they just using some really good "legal" supplements, who knows and who knows why or where we should draw the line, i know several things that can help a guy out that are not on the band list to best of my knowledge..this whole argument is stupid, not like you are a nobody just take some juice and presto you are great, it still takes work and talent so not sure why everyone in this country has such a hard on over it....drugs arnt as bad as ppl lead you to believe..

    i just dont think Jeter is dumb enough to take the risk. same with chipper. They have accomplished enough. I know they are super competitive and all but if they were 38 and 40 back in 96 then id say the same thing. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

    The positives for melky tho outweighed the negatives. He takes a chance doesnt get caught and he signs a fat contract that set him and his family up for the rest of their lives. He ends up staying in the show. He gets caught he prob still gets another chance and if he doesnt he still has made alot more money than the avg guy and could invest etc.

    i agree with all that and would say you prob are right, it just impossible to really say for sure, i mean if you got some scientific cat in your ear saying "no one even knows wtf this shit is, they willl never know" and you are accustomed to being a great and know your time is short what do you do? is legacy more important than this next gm? i dont know, personally im a instant gratification type mf'er myself and really never cared what anyone thought of me so id be all bout that next gm/week/season way more than caring what history said after i was gone, that shit for other ppl to worry bout..
