BetIslands Free 1/2 Point
I received a call from BetIslands stating that they will have the free 1/2 point again this year. However, all wagers have to be made Tue-Friday. I'm sure there is good reason for it but I'm the type who really doesn't place a wager until closer to game time due to injuries, suspensions, etc.. I really wish they would reconsider this option but I'm guessing they won't.

fyi, this does not apply to 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 2.5, 3, 3.5 spreads -this is how it was last year, I assume the same this season.

Contacted them and asked about it. Even transferred to someone who "knew more about it". Yes, on and off 7 is fine

I would get it in writing because I am almost positive they will not do free 1/2 point on +-7 AND +-3. I remember last year lots of games at @+6.5 and I wanted to make it +7 and other games at -3.5 and I wanted to make it -3 and the system did not allow it. It blocked out the free 1/2 point on spreads of (2.5 to 3.5) and (6.5 to 7.5). And if this is the case again this year, I recommend denying the free 1/2 point so that you can use the regular/standard system and BUY the 1/2 point when needed.
If what you say is true, then that is awesome and please disregard what I have typed above. I just want to save you the headache if it is the same as last year when you try to get that -7 down to -6.5 for and it doesnt work.

just got off the chat awhile ago they said you can get it on any number. They could be misinformed not sure chat took very long to get answers.
its not a scared move imo, its a smart one. if they gave everyone a free .5 on all spreads they would get crushed and probably go broke so long term its better to have limits. You can do some damage with free .5 pts if you line shop and have many outs

As mentioned earlier, I double checked and the only number not allowed is 3. Also, it is only Tues - Friday as they want to reduce the number of calls on Sat/Sun. Not sure about you guys but I don't ever bet until the day of becuz of suspensions, sickness, etc..

Yes there are alot of hidden rules at this book yes it is a good book the best is the 20 percent monthly rebate...But there are a few rules which are kinda hidden and they dont offer overnight lines which is already discussed....First on the payouts the limit you can request withdrawl via ** is 1k limit max....Also if you request a check payout all checks are processed on Mondays and must be requested by the Friday before...So lets say for football you have a good run and wanna check processed because once again ** limit is 1k on Monday your check will not be processed till the following Monday and than will take 3 to 4 days from than so really a week and a half for a check.
