anyone else upset with the covrage of this years oylmpics

Basketball should have been on one channel all the time as for volleyball. Horse jumping and Batman and all that other crap should have its own channel. NBC blew it if you ask me. Also soccer needed its own channel.

nbc did blow it. most of it wasn't live, and it seemed like 50% of the time i checked it was friggin volleyball or beach volleyball which i'm not into. i wanted to watch high jump, shot-put, weightlifting and and archery and individual type sports live, so i wouldn't know who won. also they switched around all the time so you couldn't really get deep into any one thing.

This is the first year I have not watched one bit of the Olympics. I guess being able to see the results on the internet, before it came on tape delay, had a lot to do with it.

All in all I think they did a pretty good job. There is just toooo many crap events. Its easy to blame the network when you have to suffer through a beach butterfly netting match while waiting for boxing.

Live or not, watching track and field and swimming in the primetime hours was cool with me.

I have DirecTV and was allowed to stream every single even live from NBC. Was great. You were able to watch every single match live of every sport. Not sure how it gets any better.

Basketball was on one channel all the time, except the gold medal game. It was the dedicated NBA basketball channel offered by NBC sports. 752 for DTV customers. BTW, Soccer also had it's own dedicated channel - 751.

What is op saying? They DID have a basketball channel...and they had a soccer channel and tennis was live on bravo. If you're worried about watching gymnastics and swimming live you need to get a life.

Actually on Comcast, basketball, soccer and boxing all had a dedicated channel. You could also stream every event live on nbc's website. I didnt like how they did it either, but paying a billion dollars to have the olympics, I can't blame them for wanting to put the events people would watch in primetime instead of 2 in the afternoon when everyone was at work

I thought NBC did a great job showing all events through all their channels. Some of them took a little digging to get the schedule but when you have that many events, its not going to be perfect. I thought NBC did a great job with coverage, minus some of the delays. But overall I really enjoyed it

always hated nbc. loved the commercials in the middle of soccer and basketball while live action was going on.

enjoyed handball and water polo more then i thought i would.
